  1. Hello! I did a few builds personally and at work using SSD drives. One thing I find myself wishing is that I got a larger SSD drive! I spent the time to review newegg to find a decently reviewed SSD drive that had fast WRITE speeds. All SSDs are going to have fast read speeds, but WRITE is where it's at. With that said, I would get at least a 240GB SSD. You'll notice you'll be slowly installing new programs that you want to run fast and take advantage of the SSD's speed. I.E. GAMES! Your load times for games will be very fast compared to your old magnetic HDDs. Brands, I've used Intel and GSkill with no issues. I have bought Kingston SSD, but that was awhile ago when SSDs were new. Still works, but it's "slow" compared to newer SSDs.
  2. What makes that one appealing to you? Cost, Screen resolution, or how thick the laptop is? Here is another refurb from Newegg that is better! http://goo.gl/C7JD7S All around better laptop than the one you link to. Video card, touch screen (ik u dont care), core i7, 1080p screen, thinner laptop. Little bigger screen at 15.6" Specs: This 1.1"-thick laptop features an Intel Core i7-4500U 1.8GHz Haswell dual-core processor, 15.6" 1920x1080 IPS touchscreen LCD, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, DVD burner, NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M 2GB video card, 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth webcam, 2-cell battery, and Windows 8 64-bit. $565 Only bad part is the 2-cell battery. If you want new, here is an awesome deal: http://goo.gl/DuiXp4 It features an Intel Core i7-4510U 2GHz Haswell dual-core processor, 1920 x 1080 (1080p) LED-backlit LCD, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, 8GB SSD, 802.11n wireless, DVD burner, Bluetooth 4.0, 720p webcam, 4-cell battery, and Windows 8.1 $749 Both of these laptops have much better hardware than the HP you linked to. Yes, but have Windows 8/8.1 BUT you can change a setting and have it always boot to the Desktop and you'll never know you're on Win 8.
  3. A 6 cell or 9 cell is plenty. Especially if you aren't far from an outlet. It's nice to add it in now because his budget can account for it and it will all be covered under the warranty.

  9. I agree with mookie. Sounds like it's a physical issue. After reading mookie's post, I don't have much to add. Just follow up and we'll go from there.
  10. I did find a deal on a AMD Phenom II X6 1045T (2.7GHz) on tigerdirect for $99 after $30 MIR. Would your pricing, if you do sell it, come close to this? Being that your's is 1090T. Thanks.
  11. Hey ZD, I'm very interested in the Phenom II CPU. Is it still for sale? My home server has a dual core Athlon and it's not cutting it now that I have 3 VMs running on it.
  12. Congrats!! Def. made something that seemed a chore.. much more enjoyable.

I know you can pre-order it and get in the beta, but I've only really been checking it out off and on.
