  1. Good book in a english/60's sort of way. About a libel court case between a Polish doctor and an author who wrote about the holocaust. Pretty dark in subject matter but very well written. Worth reading.

    Uff dah!!

I would wait until there were a lot of people in there... then go in and jump up and down. See how many people freak out.
  3. Id contemplate it if I was not 700 miles away.
  4. Looks nice, market is still brutal though, at least in the Midwest.
  5. If that was of your own devising, I say well done, sir. If not, still ROFL.
  6. happy birthdays, belated style!
  7. One imaginary diety is replaced by another imaginary diety. Works for me. Numbers are interesting though.
  8. That looks like as much fun as playing solitaire on my pc while walking in circles.
  9. You work in the music industry or how do you get all the hookups for the backstage/meets? Oh and boo to Tool skipping minneapolis.
  10. Not my style but great singer, agreed.
  11. I would eat/drink/whatever that.
  12. It kinda reminded me of a Civil War play on the Odyssey with all the side stories and characters for Inman, trying to get home from war to his woman.
  13. Tool is coming to MPLS this August, saw them twice last tour. I am pumped to see them again but wish they would get in the studio and make a new album (or have Maynard get with perfect circle and put one out with them).
  14. Yeah, like a six shooter with a one chamber shotgun attached. Comes in handy.
  15. Never saw the movie but just finished the book, I have to say a very excellent read, if a bit on the dramatic side. Highly recommend.
  16. You going to the show tomorrow night SJ? If it is anything like last year it will be a blast. One of the best live band I have ever seen (and yes I have seen a whole crapload of music). They are in Minneapolis tomorrow night, if they come to your town Id highly reccomend em.
  17. holy crap. that was kinda fun. by kinda fun i mean really fun after happy hour. wow.
  18. When NIN came to MN for this tour the show was very very very good. If I was able to get the CHi next weekend I would be all over it.
  19. Sigh, dorkiness confirmed.
  20. So you have read them in French... have you read them in English? So many times the translations of books that are great in their original language do not seem to have the same feel when translated.
  21. good book! anyone read this? is he a good author of other books?: A bit ago I read a book about the history of the English language, all the way for indo-european to modern English... it was neat how the spread of language really parallels the spread of food production, animal husbandry, and whatnot... there were a lot of tie ins between this book and the language one. I found it interesting. I have not read any thing by Albert Camus, nor heard anything. I have not really tried any of the digital book readers, mostly because I feel like I wouldn't like them. Though I am pretty sure if I got used to them I would enjoy it. I read one book at a time, books are already pretty portable, and I like my 3 bookcases of real books. The kindle seems to get pretty good reveiws.
