Bush! I can't say I'm surprised. I'm no where near as good as you and while I haven't been banned I've been accused of using hacks often on many of these new servers. Death Warrant seems to be about the only place to get a decent games these days but the maps that are most popular there are usually ones I don't care for. Ah for the old days... Its good to hear that you are still around.

Yes, there are still a few of us hard cores like Bush and I around that play. Death Warrant is still fairly active though about half the maps there are either crazy Death Dome type maps or maps with toooooo many vehicles (I'd really love to play regular Nevermore again some time...). Omnipotent is always super mod'd. I think the GC server would get some use with some more maps and it would be much appreciated if you can do that Flitter. Thanks!!!!

Wow! There is life here! Yes, I've seen "(" playing and totally agree with Bush. ( has a real attitude... The reason I looked here to start with was that I was wondering if Flitter could put up some additional maps? The GC server has one of the best pings for me and I like that it's not flooded with bots like some of the servers that are left. I think it would be used a lot more with some added variety. I know somehow Flitter put this server up for free and begars can't be choosers but I'd consider rejoining if it would stir things up a bit. Or I'd consider sponsoring Bush's admin as I know he still plays and knows much more about how to manage the server than I do.

OK, I'll display my ignorance for the world to see... How exactly do you get this working? I downloaded the zip file and can extract the contents but where does it go, in it's own folder, selectively added to existing UT3 files? I poked around a bit to see if there were instructions with no luck. I tried unzipping it into my existing UT3 directory but I don't see any difference when running UT3.

This is far from the first time Bush has been accused. When they aren't playing the solid vehicle maps (which is most of the time) I find Death Warrant about the best server left. I think it was just a few weeks ago when "Jimmy the Dentist" didn't see any way Bush could possibly be playing that well unless he was cheating so he quite in a huff. Jimmy just isn't used to be getting out played on a regular basis like I was when GC was active.

I still play once in a while... I just haven't been posting about it LOL I just looked at the server stats. It is a ghost town. It took me 2 playtimes to get ranked 8th on the server. Cannon, watch your score! Fun games the other night. Just couldn't handle the bots anymore. The only chance I had is when you had more bots than me! You probably saw that I asked Flitter about some more maps. It seems like the few people still playing lean towards the mass destruction/heavy vehicle maps. Regular Nevermore is much more fun than Nevermore Tank Me Up and maps like Death Dome don't do a thing for me.

Hey Flitter! You started this new server but with so few maps it rarely gets used. Any reason not to put some more maps on it?

I can see where orbs might be OK if the people that were playing had a clue which is usually not the case....

Well, I got the patch and the 2.0 update working. As long as I keep the resolution down my old 3.2 GHz P4 with a GeForce 7600 GS still runs the game fine and is quite playable. I tried some of the IPs Primus suggested with maps like clones of Chains of Isles and Red Planet. I really like that many of these ONS attempts disable the orbs. To me Warfare without the orbs is pretty much ONS. I'm not sure if I can tell the difference in how things play as it's been a while since I tried UT3. I'm intriqued enough to spend some more time with it.

Later this evening if at all. Thursday is much better. Got that new map ready Dark???

I'd go for a private server but I think (A.S.S)*Carcass Factory* might be a good place to play too. It was down for a while and the usual crowd there has disappeared and it's mostly empty. Chances are we'd pick up a few other players. I like the map selection there too or are we going to play Crossfire all evening...

I always think that the better players (and most of you are scarce these days) would totally clean up in Captain Gordon. A target rich environment!

Pat, Bush and I seem to be the longest GC hold outs and I'm sure they are seeing the same trends as I am. On the few servers that are left the mass destruction maps seem to be the most popular, Tank Wars, Captain Gordon, Minus Tank Me Up... I used to like Minus Tank Me Up until they threw in so many mass destruction vehicles and mods. Or the fighting ones that go on forever like witch Slap, Dreamus and Master Bath. It's still possible to get a good group on a decent map once in a while but less and less often. Of course none of the is new news.

I was impressed with myself (which doesn't happen often) that I figured this out of myself on Tuesday. I got stuck working late last evening and when I eventually got around to UT I found a bunch of you guys playing on a full server... RATS! I think that one will make it by the launguage filters.

As far as I could tell I was the only that tried Tuesday. It was lonely...

Somehow "Dragonfly" just isn't as intimidating as "DarkArchon"... Dragonfies are just something that gets squashed on the windshield but DarkArchon!!!!! This must be what happens when he doesn't get enough cookies.

Nuts! I forgot about the first week of the month stuff and missed out. Finding a decent place to play continues to degrade. Way too much play on the mass destruction maps like Master Bath and Death Dome for my tastes but I play most days. Sorry I missed you guys.

Anyone reading knows this game is about dead but still kicking. I only play ONS and pretty much on just: TheUTPub, An Old Skool Server, Death Warrant, Omnip)o(tents, and (A.S.S)* Carcass Factory. I'm Torlan'd to death so I rarely hit the demo servers and the remainder of the other servers have mods that are too radical for my liking or the ping is too slow to be playable. I do like many of the new maps which is a large part of what keeps me going. So these are the places I lurk. Hopefully I'll see some of you from time to time!

I'd be up for it and pretty open on the time. Judging by the lack of responses people aren't paying much attention though. So, what happens to access to this forum when your GC membership runs out? I think I've got until November but don't see much point in renewing.

Well, I think I am. LOL! J/K. I'm a happily married guy. Yes GC, believe it or not I still play UT2K4. I usually play on Omnipotent's server and DeathWarrant. There are still alot that play UT. I gave up on UT3. Just hate the fact that there is no ONSLAUGHT just there similar version. I play with Cannon from time to time. Still see alot of the USSR guys. What else do I play? I rarely play CoD4. What I'm looking forward to is Starcraft 2. I can't wait. I need to install Starcraft and start playing so that I can refresh myself with the hot keys. You guys were a bunch of kewl individuals. Sorry I wasn't able to join the clan, but I will say that I almost did. It was just hard to commit because I was still in school. Now that I'm not in school, I have more time, but I find myself focused on other things like family and a house. LOL. Been also helping the wife with her projects and possibly a weekend home business. We'll just have to wait and see. If any of you are still playing, you will find me on Omnipotent's server. Not much life left here even to pick a time to play. The number of available servers with reasonable mods that are more than just demos is pretty darn small. Of course none of this is new news. Fatty's mailing on late dues shows how many more have dropped out and I'm sure I won't be paying again when mine runs out unless some miracle happens. I don't know where Bush lives but CRTs are dirt cheap around here so that's a poor excuse!

Jeez! Go away on vacation and things pick up! I'm just getting back and think I can make tomorrow evening but I have some catching up to do.
