During my hiatus I found it a lot easier to find a pickup game of gg then jumping onto a cs server. Seems like a lot less effort and thought is required. You don't need to have teamwork, just blow people's faces off. I fully support getting a gg server if anyone else expresses interest.
  3. I got my A+ and Network+ from CTIA using only the For Dummies books. There are good resources on the cd and the cardboard bullet point of topics in the front were the only things I used. I never even read the book. I would see if there is a Linux for Dummies with the newest version of the test on it.
  4. I dont think the NEC one is really all that large though Dun. The Dell widescreen monitors are really some of the best quality larger monitors you can get right now especially for that cost.
  5. The one that comes stock with the 4400+ and higher X2's is also pretty nice.
  6. In that case you will definitely need a floppy drive and the motherboard SATA drivers.
  7. Heheh...he got to it before I could. Good luck with the build!
  8. Anyone who I have talked to who has the Gamefuel router absolutely loves it. It comes into play even more if you live in a household where certain people *wink* sister *wink* are cruising myspace, kazaa, limewire, and a bunch of other stuff while you are trying to game. Stuff like that can really hurt your ping but the gamefuel router will prioritize the information.
  9. The issue actually comes down to what controls the SATA. If the SATA ports you are installing windows with are controlled by the southbridge Windows has drivers built into the operating system. If it is controlled any other way you will probably need a floppy drive and SATA drivers.
  10. I'm sure John expects this to be some sort of post about nuke. Nuke is an awesome map but I understand why some people don't want it in the rotation. It is still amazingly fun to chastize you about it John . With that being said, attention needs to be turned to another map; de_tides. This map could potentially be the worst map ever. It needs to be taken out of the rotation because it is an atrocity of a map.
  11. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *EXPLETIVE EXPLETIVE EXPLETIVE* THE -ONE- TIME I DON'T CHECK THIS FORUM! heheheh. That was an awesome thing giving those away Dingy, most people would have just sold them on eBay. If you get any more of them let me know!

  13. Sweet gaming rig indeed. I hate Intel with a passion but if the Conroe releases with anywhere near the performance the reviews give it and with some reliability (which would be unlike Intel) I might have to switch camps when I upgrade again.
  14. You can try creating your own server running your version of militia too and see what happens that way. If it still gives green lines then delete it from your maps directory and go redownload it from a server online.
  15. Well it isn't a laptop and by default AMD Cool N' Quiet is disabled so the likelihood that the cpu with throttle down its speed due to heat is pretty slim. Cujo is more correct about it just freezing / crashing. It also depends on what core it is because the Barton was a lot better about not doing things of that nature. In addition to all of this, if it was a heat/dust issue, there would probably be some sort of thermal alarm. Can't say for sure as a lot of it is dependant upon the mobo/windows/applications (MBM, SF, ETC) but it is most likely just a windows issue.
  16. Try this on for size...sucka! START > RUN > msconfig Change it to "Selective Startup" on the first tab Switch to "Startup" tab and then disable everything you don't need and that one program in particular. It is a good way to prevent unnecessary things from loading at startup as well.
  17. It really all depends on whether or not your computer is acting complacent enough to get you to an AM2 setup. If you can wait the 3-4 odd months it is going to take for people to get board benchmarks and tests done with the AM2 stuff then you should go that route. If you do go that way you will also need new memory as well. If you decide NOT to wait for an AM2 setup then get a 7900GTX because it is just a better option at this point in time.
  18. I didn't know that you lived in Chi-town. I almost went to that show but something came up at the last minute so I had to part with my tickets. All American Rejects actually got famous from a Chicago show at House of Blues. It was like 2-ish years ago and they opened for Lucky Boys Confusion at a Christmas concert. I think everyone liked them more then they liked LBC
  19. The Fantasy and Savior are also awesome tracks from them. 30 Seconds to Mars is Jared Leto's band that he is in with his older brother. And yes, it is THAT Jared Leto from Fight Club/Lord of War/Hollywood fame. I saw them in concert when they were in Chicago like 2 months ago and it was the best concert I have ever been to.
  20. Wow. That keyboard is crazy looking. The learning curve on something like that has to be huge.
  21. I think the big thing going for the g5 over the g7 is the weight. The battery in the g7 is INCREDIBLY light and I actually find myself wishing it was heavier at times. Logitech wised up and realized that base station chargers are for nubs and this mouse actually has battery packs. The mouse comes with 2 battery packs as well so there is always one charged. Wow. I should petition Logitech for a job or something.
  22. I just googled up some g7 stuff and found an interesting page on Logitech's Website. Apparently the G7 has 500 reports made per second just like the G5 which is possible with full speed usb. Because of this the mouse *supposedly* has no lag but who really knows.
