Personally I think we should just get rid of scoutzknives on the aim server, and take the bots off of the scoutzknives server. They seem to like... not work and stuff. Which sucks. ... they were stuck again yesterday

If I end up going, I will most likely be renting a pc. Less stuff to take over, and these PC's are better than mine. I'll probably just bring my mouse.

Hmn I thought all the stuff you mentioned was a "must have". I've never been to the place under Canada so this is all new to me. I'll just go identify traffic signs then and get the health card updated. I assume those and my birth certificate should be enough. rofl waffles

Yah I don't have that. Everyone I asked about the passport said it may need be mandatory, but I should do it anyway. I just don't want anything complicated to happen at the border and if a passport is gonna get me through faster, so be it.

Scourge and myself are probably coming down, but theres still a great hint of uncertainty. He has a lot of stuff planned in that space of time so hes not sure himself, and then theres my situation. I need to save up for this, get a passport, age of majority card and a whole bunch of other papers. I would also like to get my computer upgraded a bit more. I don't think its in the current condition to go to a gaming event (yes I have high standards). I don't think I'll be able to get the tickets until April, possibly even May at the latest. I'll have to hope it doesn't sell out by then.

I agree with Cujo here, its a good idea to at least use the ATi drivers first before dabbling into the Omega drivers. I've used them before, they're good but you should always install the ATi ones first to make sure everything is running as should be. What did you use to "clean the drivers"? Going from Nvidia to ATi, I'd be using driver cleaner to get rid of any traces of Nvidia drivers. Hell, just to be safe I always use Driver Cleaner before installing a new version of video driver. I'm kinda wondering how important a new video card supporting DirectX10 and all that will be. I'm fairly certain that at the present only the 7800 series and X1900's support this technology. I can't remember what they call it

Sorry for the age old bump but I play DoD: Source too and I didn't want to feel left out They released another map for the game last week, dod_kalt. Its ok, but theres too many physics props. I kinda wish GC had a dod: sauce server, I like GC a lot but CS isn't really my kind of game. If I could play DoD: Source on GC I'd be quite happy. I hope you guys bring it back at some point (its my understanding there was a 1.3 server). Anyway yah, I play dod sauce too

Scourge, I'm doing this to make things cheaper for everyone & to give those a ride that would not normally have one. Why should everyone spend $150.00 in gas when 4-5 people can share that cost? If your not willing to jump in with us, then why not offer to help us? We'll count your vehicle to help out. Again thats if you come. I figured he'd be able to help me out if I were able to raise my own funds, I didn't say though cause I didn't want to "invite myself" so to say. I probably won't have a problem with the event funding, I'm only worried about lodging and food. I've also never been to the US before, so I'd be all lost and stuff. Don't ditch me in the US guys I'm pretty excited though, I've never been to one of these events before and it sounds really fun. I guess we'll see what happens as we get closer to the date.

Scourge talked to me concerning this on our way to Mississauga to get his new stuff from cujo. I'm not sure if I'm even invited, seeing how I just play on your servers but he made it sound like it was anyone who was interested. I'll see what I can do, but it sounds a little too pricey for me.

You've got an odd list there. Keep the Civic and work on it a bit. A lot can be done to Civic's, just don't rice it out.

If you're interested in selling the motherboard seperately (or giving me a good deal on both the mobo and CPU), my friend has a fried ASUS P4 motherboard that needs replacing. Actually its not fried, its my ex mobo that I loaned out to him to use but now the USB doesn't work anymore. He just needs the motherboard, but obviously if you can hook up the CPU as well for a reasonable price I'm sure he'd be interested. Let me know your prices and I will run them by him. I'm also somewhat interested in the X850XT, but only if its going to work out to be cheaper than the 6800GS I was going to buy anyway. The lack of SM3.0 is kinda teh suck. I don't have money in hand, I probably won't for awhile I'm just trying to gather future options for upgrade. edit: I just re-read the thread and saw your price for the mobo/cpu. Seems fair to me, I'll let him know and get back to you... if I don't, hes not interested.

I didn't know the story on that (not sure how I was supposed to know either), thats why I sounded so harsh. I thought it was the standard "I bought cheap parts and now my computer sucks, wahh wahh" thread. Erm good luck with the rest of your purchasing.
