I love gun game. I used to not like but that changed. It's just too bad that I am away at college and don't have a fast enough internet connection to play CS:S without making the entire server lag like crazy.

Hey everybody, currently in CS:S I have a problem. My backwards button is not working, so I cannot move backwards. I have backwards binded to the "s" key, I have tried binding multipule other keys in both the config and manually binding in the console; nothing has worked. I know that my "s" key isn't broken, as you can see I have used it quite a bit in this post, also whenever I bind "randomletter" "+back" in the console, it still doesn't work. I have restarted steam, and done pretty much everything I can think of. The only thing that I have not done is reinstalled CS; which I will do if no one has an answer for me in this thread. Please, if you know how to fix this, please be as detailed as possible in the insturctions of how to fix this problem. And I thank all of you who either posted replies on this thread or simply just read it. Thanks again fellas and take it easy.

I think its time for a new map or two to be added into the map rotation. Like put de_3rdstreet back in, I love that map. I started a thread on the map cycle because I honestly think people are starting to get bored with the old classic maps like office, dust, and aztec, I think we should keep them, but maybe remove one or two and replace it with a different map, so that way people won't get tired of the rotation that is set right now. I suggest de_3rdstreet, de_nuke, de_deltamill, de_cplfire, de_cplmill, de_ratcusinv5. All of these are amazing maps that could easily take the place of a map that players might be bored with. I know that all of use (or most of us) like maps like dust, dust2 or aztec, but these are the very very first maps that we played when we first bought CS, I know my first map that I ever played was de_aztec, while these are good maps, they get old after time. I say we add two new maps into the rotation and keep the old ones. Currently, I think we have a 5 map rotation, since a lot of people love these old classic maps, if we had a 7 map rotation with two maps being new to the rotation, I think people wouldn't be as bored with these maps. Or remove a map or two if you think a 7 map rotation is too long and put a new map or two in there. Or if people really just love playing scout knives (I know I do), just put scout knives in the rotation. Anyway, let me know what you guys think of my idea, I have already had a few response on my thread, some agree with me, some don't. I just think in order for somthing like this too happen, there needs to be a very high percentage of people who are in agree with me. I am not saying change the entire rotation. I know that plently of people love dust and aztec, but, this rotation has been set like this forever. Keep those maps, keep all of em but one maybe, I would just like to see new map thrown in. As I recall, when this server ran maps like nuke, 3rd street and such, I remember having a very hard time joining the server because it was always full, I don't think by removing a map or two you will loose any business at all. Maps like office, dust, dust 2 aztec, are all good maps, but, they are the very very first maps that everyone played whenever it was we first started playing CS. The fact of the matter is, there are a million maps out there that are better than the ones currently in the server, and maps like dust and such get old, keep all em if you want. Any maps really. I would just like to see a new map cycle. Don't get me wrong, dust2 and Italy are great maps, aztec and dust I am not so fond of because they are better the CT side always, but all I know is that I would like to have de_deltamill in the new map rotation (assuming deltamill is the map I think I am talking about), anyway, I say get rid of all the maps in the cycle right now. Throw in nuke, maybe 3rd street, of course deltamill (aparently deltamill2 is the same as deltamill, its just a bugfixed version), maybe try out a cool custom map. I know whenever I play scopless, they have the most amazing custom maps, maybe we should throw one of those in there. Currently I think there are only 4 maps in the rotation, I think we should have 5. 4 just seems like not enough, 6 is way to much, 5 I think is perfect. Anyway, let me know what ya guys think. There is one map that I believe is de_deltamill that I absoultly love. At one point in time, when this server was changing up the map cycle and maps were just being played upon request because there was no cycle, this server went de_deltamill. I remember that a lot of people enjoyed it. I would like to see this in the cycle at least to experiment with it to see if people do like it, and if they do, we could then talk bout keeping it. I think it would be a great replacement for maps like de_dust or de_aztec where those maps really favor one particular side. Please post and let me know what you think about this. Again, I am not 100% exactly sure if it is indeed de_deltamill, if the server runs de_deltamill, I can let you know if it is the correct one. I will give a small detailed description of the map at the end of this post so that maybe someone back verify which map I am talking about if it isn't deltamill. Map description: There is an underground tunnel that branches off into different areas, there is a big building that has a bombsite in it. there is sort of a sewer type thing where you can see sewage water in it. there is a big open area in the middle. Umm, sorry for the bad description, I have only played this map once and it was a while back. Please post though and let me know what you think. I DO KNOW that this map is NOT de_cplmill. I went into this movie thinking that it was going to be horrible because I heard awful reviews about it. I absolutly loved it. I never listen to reviews, they hardly ever know what they are talking about. I highly recommend this movie. It was fantastic.

Hey everybody, on Wednesday, June 28 2006 around 1:05pm, this server was playing cs_italy. I had saved up a bunch of money for awps, and a player who's handle is xP|zeddeee was constantly following me. I didn't think of it much at first, I just thought he was being goofy, but, I went to the wine cellar and went out the top, there was a CT awper out there (I was T) so I tried to run back in the wine cellar but xP|zeddeee blocked me. When the next round started I asked him what his deal was and he said that he wanted the awp. He deliberately blocked me so he could have my gun. He continued to follow me and tried to block me again, but I stopped going to areas on the map where it was possible for blocking. I realized that blocking me was planned by him. That is why he was following me around. JTF AfroThunder saw him block me, and he can acknowledge that this post is 100% the truth. I am not asking for a permanent ban, because that would be ridiculous for simply blocking. Normally, blocking doesn't bother me, I mean C'mon, it happens, but, when it is planned and on purpose, I think something should be done about it. I would at least like to see a temporary ban for a week or two. The information is listed below my thanks all of you who read my post. Hey everyone, I was trying to make a demo the other day and it wouldn't work. I go into console, type record and then the demo name, but it wont record and when it does say its recording, when I say stop, it wont allow me to play it. Please help with this. Ok, I understand where you guys are coming from about the whole idea that my brother should be banned regardless of if I take the fall for it or not. Lunk, as far as the one week ban goes, I respect any decision that you and any other lead admin make. Since Fatty gave the option that only one person has to serve a ban, since I have decided to serve it, there would be no reason for my brother to be banned. Anything that happens on my SteamID is ultimatly my responsibility regardless of if I am playing or not. So if there are consequences that need to be dealt out, since it was on my SteamID, I should be the one to serve those conequences. Ya guys get what I am trying to say here. I just don't see a reason for my brother being banned. Lunk, please let me know when you and the other lead admin's make a decision about how long my ban will be. Thank you -Luck of the Irish

Stuttering John, I really appreciate your support, but, like I said in my other thread on this subject, I do not want my brother banned. This whole thing when you really look at it is my fault for not signing out of Steam. Stop making posts about me getting unbanned and my brother getting banned. I beileve it was Lunk who closed it off, since he is a Lead admin and was the last to post on that thread, if you could, please open it back up. I want to serve the ban. I don't want my brother too, while it was him who joined a .gc server with the bad display name, it was my fault for not logging out of my steam account. If I had done that, this whole thing would of never happened. So please, stop posting replies about my brother giving his STEAMID as a trade for mine getting unbanned. My brother is a .gc regular, since we live in the same household, he plays on my steam account quite often since I am almost always signed in. Like I said in some earlier replies, that will no longer be happening because I will be logging out from steam when I am done from now on. When you look at it, this whole thing really is my responsibility, not my brothers. Fatty said that one of us has to serve a ban, and I have decided it will be me. So please, stop posting about my brother trading in his STEAMID for mine being unbanned. I am not angry, I just don't want another lead admin to come on to this thread and see those types of posts and then look up my brothers STEAMID and ban his and unban mine. As for posting in another persons ban thread. I am sorry, I had no idea that I wasn't supposed to post in a ban thread if it didn't concern me. Thank you for warning me and it won't happen again. You don't get banned on .gc servers for hacking unless it is completely obvious or if there is a demo that proves you were hacking. The admins here are very responsible and don't ban unless there was a reason for it. Some of the reasons are -bad language -filter dodge -tking purposly -hacking -attitude towards admins Those are some of the reasons, think hard, did you do any of the listed above. Well anyway, that is really all I have to say. I am as well currently banned, you will see my thread directly under yours. Anyway, I hope things work out for ya. Please let me know if my ban is going to be a permanent ban, I don't see a reason for it being permanent, but I would like to know if there is any possibility that I will get to play on .gc servers ever again. Also, Please see my other reply directly above this one. thanks Irish

The road to Guantanamo looks good. I think it will show how awful that prison is. Its based on a true story about three british muslims that were taken to Guantanamo Bay prison and kept there for I dont know how long. Eventually they were released and there were no charges filed against them. It shows how ridiculous our government can be. No one knows for sure, but almost everyone suspects that the conditions at Guantanamo Bay prison are inhuman. I want to see this movie.

Well, you have made your decision Fatty and I respect it. You said that someone is going to serve a ban, so obviously someone is going to serve one. I will serve the ban since it was on my steam account and I don't feel like screwing my brother over for this whole ordeal. Since I have decided to serve the ban, is there anyway that I can be unbanned at some point in the near future? I just want to stress one more time that it was an accident that the vulgar name was left active, so it is your decision and you have made it, but, I don't see why it is necessary for me to have a permant ban. I can tell you now what I can and will do in the future (if I am unbanned) to prevent this from ever occuring again. 1) I will no longer leave my steam account logged in when I am not at the computer. 2) I will no longer have my steam account set to "remember password". 3) In the past I have made display names that would not be acceptibal on a .gc server (not in this situation though). I will no longer make those display names ever again. Those are my three reasons for why I think I should be unbanned. Again I just want to say that I have decided to serve the ban. Please allow my brother to continue playing on .gc servers, it was not his fault. I hope that I will be unbanned and if I am, I promise all of you here at .gc that this will never happen again. Fatty PMed me, he said that he wasn't sure if he wanted to do the Steam ID and Handle trade. I don't know what is going on with this at the moment, but I do know that trade agreement is no longer valid, at least that is how it sounded from PMs I got from admins. So I don't know when or if this thing is ever gonna be resolved. I am going to talk with my brother about this when he gets home and I'll try to figure somthing out, but in the end it is up to the administrators of these servers. Hope a decision is made soon because I would really like to get back to playing some CS:S. Thanks guys for all your replies to this post and I hope to get a decision soon. I have once again been banned from the midwest server. I am unclear as to why. I came into the computer room and my brother said that I was banned. He was playing on my steam ID, I tell him all the time to sign out of my steam account and sign into his, but he never listens. He will not tell me why he got banned on my steam account. I am asking you to please unban my steam account because it was not me playing when it was banned. Please unban me and if anyone knows, could someone post the reason for the ban because my brother will not tell me because he is afraid or somthing that I will get angry at him; which I am because I always tell him to play on his steam account, but that is a whole different subject. Please unban my steam account. Mookie has recently PMed me and I am now aware as to why my steam account got banned. It was because of an inappropiate name and I will no longer leave my steam account signed in when I am not at the computer and I will no longer leave my password on "save password". All of this will prevent this problem from re-occuring in the future. Thanks Thank you for your time for reading this long post and I hope that this will work out for me. Also, please keep in mind that my brother did not do this on purpose. He was playing on a server that runs surf maps and someone was insulting him with explicit vulgar hate comments (I witnessed these comments), my brother ignored them for a few maps and eventually changed his name to a display name that was insulting to whoever was insulting my brother. He simply forgot that the vulgar display name was still activated when he joined the .gc midwest server. It is not his fault that he was banned. He simply forgot, and it is my fault for forgetting to log out of my steam account, if I had logged out, my brother would be the one posting right now. I hope that this can be resolved soon so I can again play with you gentlemen on .gc servers, and still allow my brother to play on them as well. If my brother knew that the vulgar display name was still activated, believe me, he would of changed it before joining a .gc server. I hope you understand where I am coming from and can let this thing blow over, and I promise you that nothing like this will ever happen ever again. Hey everyone, I posted last saturday (june 3rd) because I got banned and I didn't do anything for it. I just got back in town and I was hoping that I would of been unbanned by now but I am still banned. I logged onto the midwest server and I didnt even get to see the team select screen because I was banned that quickly. I am extremely confused as to why this is and I would really appreciate it if I could get an answer to this. I have people who have replied to my last post on this saying that I am not a problem on .gc servers and that they see no need for my ban. So please read my last post and reply to this one, and hopefully I will see ya on the battlefield soon. Thank you -Irish
