FYI, I installed the 1.5 patch and the multiplayer portion of the game stopped working. There is a fix for it and it only effects people that have a RealTech onboard sound card. I didn't think it would effect me since I don't use the onboard sound but indeed it does. Only thing that needs to be done is download the latest RealTech drivers. Here is the link...

Real soldiers don't need to know how much ammo they have...just where the enemy is. But seriously I agree that not having the HUD sucks...I always forget I have an air-strike or UAV available. Just curious, but can you mix and match settings between hardcore and regular?

I only play on hardcore servers as well, I do pop in from time to time though.

If you like RTS's try Supreme Commander....I love it. The expansion pack is awesome as well. The Orange Box gives you 3 games to play. 2 are pretty short and 1 is multiplayer only. Oh and Bioshock is fun to... -
I'm considering getting one for the Blu-Ray player...and its ability to play games. Since it looks like HD-DVD may be on the way out, might as well kill two birds with one stone. I'm 60-40 Blu-Ray/HD-DVD, so I'm not swayed enough yet to run out and buy one. Maybe in 6 months or so...

You need drivers for you SATA controller. Press F6 while installing XP to have the setup program grab the drivers off a floppy disk. -

I'm running dual 8800GTX's. SLI is pretty sweet, when the drivers support the game. Sometimes you have to run the game in single gpu mode to get decent performance. I have had a couple situations where the performance under SLI was worse than that of one gpu. Every time so far its been solved by updated drivers. All in all I would say I'm pretty happy with the performance of SLI.
