I use both PIA and BoxPN. BoxPN happens to be IPsec based but each of their location choices in their app tells you whether it is a "bittorrent safe" connection location or not. Also cheap.

To get more accurate speed results, try using speedof.me and testmy.net I don't touch speedtest anymore.

I went back to college when I was about your age. It was tough and I was nervous. I mean I hadn't done class work in that way since high school. I just looked at the big picture: finally getting a worthwhile job and really launching my career. So here I am.

I've been playing with it on different games and it does some really cool things. I can apply SMAA to games that do not have it built in and enhance the visuals of most every D3D based game. Here is a forum thread on it via guru3d with download links and the like. I recommend that you have a moderately decent videocard or you may run into performance issues. I am selling my EVGA Nivida GTX 670 FTW Signature 2 card. I originally purchased just the FTW card but had to RMA it last July and got the improved Signature 2 card as a replacement. I always preferred Mumble and tried to get people to swap all the time but they wouldn't. Now that I don't game much, there are a bunch of groups using it.

Chiming in late here but if you are still reading, let me add a few things. 1. Take a look at Virginia Tech. They have a great Computer Science program 2. Consider doing community college your first two years to get the basics out of the way. It is much cheaper and you can remain local most of the time. It's a great idea if money is a concern. 3. Be careful of the "Education bubble" meaning colleges are ridiculously expensive right now. You do not want to spend the rest of your life paying off your loans if it can be helped. My #2 recommendation can help a great deal with that.

So far it cools really great. It's mostly quiet. Every possible intake without a fan has a blocker on it by default to only allow air into the locations that are filtered. That includes the front and bottom of the case which have large fans. It runs cool and it is quite large too. As you can see from that one "screenshot" (picture) the videocard has a lot of space between the end of it and the hard drive bays. On my Antec case, I had to remove that bay to fit the video card in.

Here is a link to the case. If you are in the market for a new system, I recommend this case. You do not hear much about the company but the build quality is top notch. There is a fan on the bottom of the case that intakes from the bottom. There is a filter that slides out that you should clean that catches dust. There is the one intake fan in the front and the exhaust in the back. On the top is the addition of the radiator and exhaust fan for the self-contained water cooler.
