  1. Maybe someone can split this into two threads, since we're off topic.
  2. I hear ya. We have the same problem. Plus 2 foreclosed houses on our block, 1 twice since we've lived here and another house on the market for 3 years. Poor guys been trying to sell it for longer than he originally lived here before deciding to sell (if u follow that). We are so screwed.
  3. yeah, so we've got a dedicated server that's begging to be used. do you want a .gc dm server, and will you play on it until death do you part? ive asked you for a DM like 4-5 times, just do it d2 dm are the only ones very popular Yeah d2 dm 24/7. Check out FireWaLL DeathMatch Server. IP: 206.212.243.131:27016 No map junk, and different lighting/textures? Its dust2 tho, is it a diff map? It sez dust2 in console. San showed me this one ... and now its my favorite.
  4. You obviously haven't seen how much I game. Playing time: 51.7 hrs past 2 weeks ... low because of holiday crap. been married since 2004. I'm curious what will happen after our baby arrives in June, but we'll see. Judging from Rinaldi, he's on a little less, but still often enough. There was a brief period after we were married that we watched tv together. It took her a while to figure out that tv bores that crap out of me and I can't watch it for hours on end. I'll sit down with her and watch 1 show, or 1 movie, then go back to gaming. Both our computers are in the same room, so she can choose to sit in there and we'll talk a little. She hangs out in the forums and chats with ppl. When that gets boring she watches tv downstairs. When I get bored I go watch tv with her until I'm more bored, then I go back to gaming Thats typical winter .... things might be different if we lived in a better climate. We both hate the winter, so we pretty much hide in doors until Spring. We both want to get the heck out of Minnesota / thinking AZ ... but we're tied here through home ownership and a sucky economy.
  5. lol ... I'm sure the wife would love that
  6. Shes just 1 data point. I think the only thing conclusive you can draw from this experience is that she was wrong for you. They say the right one comes along when you're not looking .... was true for me.
  7. yeah, so we've got a dedicated server that's begging to be used. do you want a .gc dm server, and will you play on it until death do you part? I'll give it a shot. DM would suck with only one person tho, but there don't seem to be a lot of high quality DM servers anymore ... so maybe it'd work. I'm not sure what the correct size is. I have 3 bookmarked, one is 18 (seems a bit small), the other two are 24(+2 reserves) and 27 (which is odd ). Whatever u think would get the best registration. Would absolutely have to have bots. No stats plz. Oh ... also one of them is running some version that removes all the map junk ... and the lighting is diff ... it reminds me of original CS for some reason. I'm not sure what that is, was shocking the first time I saw it, but now I'm used to it. Any idea what that is? I can get the IP tonite if ya want to look. Maybe it gives a performance boost? I get great registration there as compared to the other DM servers.
  8. Nah ... we haven't map-voted since summer, or pre-summer i don't think. The map-vote usually picked only slightly different sets of maps, but was nice only because of the random good map like villa or rush getting swapped in. Problem with it though was if you got too many of those then the cycle was weak ... e.g. voting doesn't yield a strong cycle. It might easier for an admin to make a list of good mapsand just modify it slightly every now and then. Like, just swap two diff maps in ... don't need a completely new set of maps every month. If you did vote, just vote on one or two new maps and let the server admin figure out what to swap them with. In reality though, only about 6-10 people voted consistently so I'd say the vote was a fail. My two cents. I mostly play dm now anyway tho, so what do I care.
  9. We had a rabbit problem in our garden ... but we put a 6 inch tall fence around it and that fixed the problem. They were too dumb to hop over the tiny fence.

You pervert ... shes probably like 15.
  11. Ahh ... I didn't think of that. My old monitor would do 75 at its native res, so I was surprised. I thought someone had stated once that the maximum amount of useful FPS was capped by the vertical refresh rate of the monitor. Is there any truth to that, or does that not really matter?
  12. Got my Samsung T220 yesterday ... refused the other package. There were 3 Samsung 22" monitors to pick from, and plenty of differing opinions on which was best for gaming. Love the new monitor. Initial setup is way to bright for gaming, but was able to tweak it ... they have a gaming profile that gets you pretty close. I found it was still way to bright for CSS. Still tweaking profiles a bit, but what I have atm is far better lighting-wise than the old monitor. Will take a little more getting used to. So far, their software appears to be crap as none of it worked, except the driver. The driver only allows 59-60 hz vertical refresh (unless I'm doing something wrong), when apparently it should do 56-75 hz. Apparently they have a software tool that is supposed to be better (more options) than the menus on the monitor for adjustments, but it didn't work -- looked at their site and it appears to not be supported for the T220 which begs the question, then why install it? Neither did their natural color studio -- got the software to run in the taskbar but couldn't get their UI to pop up -- it just went away and did nothing after displaying a nice Samsung splash screen. Saw it running in the windows tasklist, but not under applications. Could not figure out how to create a profile with it. Wondering if its any different than creating a profile using the NVIDIA tools. Hardware companies usually have crappy software tho. Love the monitor. Going to look for an updated monitor driver tonight. Yay.
  13. I've tried the Bosch ICON wipers and loved em .... their a tad pricey tho ... ran me ~ $50 for the pair ... but they lasted long enough that I'm positive I saved money over the dirt cheap wipers. Anyway, I tried the step down ones this time to save money, I think those were EXCEL.
  14. Heh ... I got pullled over by small-town police once for speeding, like 3 miles over cuz I "wasn't past the (speed-limit change) sign yet". Saw the cop, knew he was a weenie, thought I was doing everything right. Guess not.
  15. More fish pr0n? Are these safe for work?
  16. That sucks ... hope the new year is better for ya.
  17. Shes a cutie .... congrats.
  18. Awww crap, never gonna happen. lol
  19. Tried to cancel my order but its too late. NewEgg rocks though, they advised me to refuse delivery, or failing that take the unopened box to Fedex and ask them to return it to the shipper and I'd be refunded fully. Nao I go shopping for a not-so-glossy glossy Samsung monitor.
  20. I assumed the title meant that the screen was glossy.
  21. Ahh yeah, I looked at a bunch of the Samsungs (including this one) and I really wanted to like them, cuz I like our TV ... but I'm not so sure I'd like a glossy monitor.
