    XT MOVIE!

Hey man, nice video. I recognize most of the names there, good to see you guys are still around. You guys still play on the GC server(s)? What times/days of the week is that active?
  2. Ewerd

    OG GC.

What's going on? Man, I haven't been around here in ages... like 2014? Not as long as I thought, was more active 2006-2008 I guess.
  3. Thanks for the replies. I understand they can't catch everything, but it was quite a while and I was getting frustrated.
  4. I'm not trying to stir the pot, but I just wanted to bring this up because it seriously irritated me. There was a player on my team in de_mill tonight named Sawaiz that was repeatedly non-lethally shooting teammates, throwing grenades, standing in line of fire intentionally, etc. I repeatedly asked him to knock it off in global chat, as did a couple others. At one point I did accidentally TK another teammate, but I apologized and he understood because of the situation. Admin C.I.D. slapped me--okay, whatever. Meanwhile, I'm getting specifically trolled against by this guy--shooting me, following me around and shooting around me, standing in my way, stuff like that. Last round I played he was purposely standing in front of me and I had enough and killed him--against the rules, I realize. I was then kicked by C.I.D. I was not banned (as far as I know because I called it a night) so I didn't post in that section of the forum. Look: I acknowledge that I was ultimately in the wrong to TK him, but there were multiple complaints about this guy. Kick him. Don't let it go on for 12 rounds, please warn and kick the guy. If it wasn't a "competitive" server I wouldn't care--but it is. I'm just starting to get back into CS after a long hiatus and was active in GC through like 2006-2008. I always liked playing at GC because it was well administrated and peaceful, I hope the community hasn't changed enough for this to be commonplace.
  5. 68 67 66 (MARIO LEMIEUX!) 65 64 63 Wow, you guys are being a tad lazy this year! Man, I hope I can come this year.
  6. Okay... I checked my bank account online tonight and discovered that my points program reward of $112--the amount that was buying me most of this video card--was deposited rather than sent by mail. I also discovered that... I was... I was double-deposited. Instead of $112, I got $224. What are the chances that they will find this mistake? It was done by Visa out of San Francisco... what are the chances that they will bill me for this error? I am thinking slim to none, since its been 4 business days and nothing has happened. I am so dumbfounded... what do I do? If this error holds true, this is in my price range: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130082 *wimper*
  7. Okay, I am officially having the worst time. Newegg raised prices and dropped cards. The normal EVGA 8600GTS was raised about $15 and the EVGA 8600GTS Superclocked is gone. I think it is off the market entirely. I am still concidering the MSI one, however. I have seen that the 8600 GT can be EASILY overclocked past the clocks of the GTS, plus it is much cheaper. Should I go that route and possibly buy a better cooler for it to better handle the OCing? Also, I have looked at both the Radeon X1950 Pro (I think, maybe XT) and the Radeon HD 2600 XT. The X1950 is DX9 but performs (supposedly) great, and the HD 2600 XT is DX10 and performs... well, it just performs I suppose. Both of these cards are cheap as well. The reason I am even considering anything other than the 8600 GT is that benchmarks prove that the 7600 GT just plain out-performs it. Basically, it is down to the toss-up between DX9 and DX10. What should I do? I don't have my money yet, but should by... Thursday I'm hoping. On top of all my confusion, Newegg has been having MAJOR server trouble since yesterday. Tigerdirect has interesting deals (plus being that $15 cheaper on the GTS) but their shipping is more, and the reliability ratings are lesser. Zipzoomfly has interesting deals as well... but I don't know them. GAH! :bang:
  8. I figure this will save time--everybody would probably great individual threads or hijack others. ^With the angles and lighting in this picture, I look like a giant near Fatty. They way his eyes are at that moment, he almost looks intimidated... For the record, I am in every single registration-time photo.
  9. 362 361 --is this confirmed or prospected?
  10. *bump* Any interests whatsoever? Maybe for customs tonight? Hm?
  11. Thank you... thank you... thank you! I hear this song on the "kmart radio network" all the time at work and never knew who it was... or what the song name was. You have no idea how much that helped me. I am in debt to you, SJ.
  12. Gamers are typically skiddish, withdrawn people... I highly doubt that skydiving would take a hit. Personally, I wouldn't even want to try. I'm clumsy and Murphy's Law directs my life.
  13. Well, not entirely sure where I should voice this, but check out this map: de_onslaught I stumbled upon it somehow, downloaded it, and played it with bots. Surprisingly, it even played well with bots! There are a lot of interesting battle potentials in this map, and I think it deserves a shot in one way or another. Thoughts? Try it before you judge it! PS: maybe in MAP Survivor? We haven't seen that since May... and that was a fun time. PSS: It looks similar to cs_assault, but it is not--for those of you that look only at screenshots.
  14. Oh, wow, that is OC'd more than MSI's offering of the same. I like it, and that is the answer I was looking for. I wasn't quite sure if the 6600's would outperform something like this or not. Thanks guys!
  15. Well, currently I have a BFG GeForce 6600GT OC 128mb 128-bit (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143084) I am wondering if I would be better off getting a SLI motherboard and getting another one of these, or getting something like these: BFG GeForce 7950GT OC 256mb GDDR3 256-bit (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143090) - $199.99 MSI GeForce 8600GTS OC 256mb GDDR3 128-bit (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127284) - $164.99 These are all, of course, PCI-Express x16. I am really out of the loop with video cards, I haven't been in since the GeForce4 4200 TI days. Hmm... PS: Any other suggestions for at or below the $200 USD price range would be cool too.
