I don't know what happened - as Mercman says -  Don't click on any links regarding CSGO - I don't even have it installed.

Cheers guys - you should realise it's not me - I don't have CSGO installed - and remember - whatever you do - don't click on any links. 

It's actually quite low maintenance - no grass to cut, weeding, tree trimming - big job is cleaning pond - twice a year, but after this year I'm hoping the neighbour's cat wants to go fishing as I am thinking about filling it in.

Problem is now resolved.

Thanks for the work JC and Crasx, however, something went wrong - server 2 now scrambling people, half the maps are not in admin cmd, lots of crashing today

It was a glitch, Crasx fixed it.

Starts in approximately 4 or 5 hours from now - can't make it too much later for me - I wannabe in bed by 2.30am at the latest - lockdown is easing slightly over here - can have up to 6 people if you got a garden big enough and I got to do the cooking :  BBQ  lamb roast - I'm not fighting the bloody dog again over the bone - btw - he wants to say hi.

It has recently come to my attention that some of you - and I know who you are - have been really nasty with your remarks about Mercman in game :    NOW    GET   THIS :

1   You know nothing of the situation - yes we all have trials and tribulations in life and most people who do not receive help have a more difficult time in dealing with issues - I'll admit that I was a bit of a basket a few years ago, but I forced myself to get the help required after several months of depression as I had to give up playing the piano for almost a year after a heart attack.  I got through it.

2   Before you can even think or imagine Merc's situation (which is more devastating than you realise - and for those who don't know - with Merc's permission I can tell you this) .....  His partner after several years of a terminal illness recently passed away.

3   How dare you make judgements and assertions that you not know about.  GC   is about being a supportive community and helping everyone here - whether you like them or not, put up and shut up.   THIS  NOT  A  TRASH  BASHING  PLAYGROUND  for your own amusement.  Furthermore, those of you who recently bought membership, be warned - $15 per year is a very small price to pay to belong here.  If you want to see your membership revoked - that's fine by me. 

Lastly, remember this - If you have no compassion, empathy or respect, then I will personally take responsibility and perma-ban without warning if I see or hear anything like this again.   BTW, for the moment, now that you have been told and if you only joined GC to get a reserve slot and don't bother to come here and read updates etc  -  NOT   OUR   PROBLEM  if you are permabanned.

Witch Fest seems to be a bit of a success - would you guys like it to be a permanent feature for Custom Night?

It's called  Custom Night   for a reason :  We have been running Custom Nights for 2yrs - and that is not going to stop - we have to test different variations of playing the game :  announcements will always be made on the L4D2 forum explaining the game and rules :  if you don't visit more often, you won't know about up-coming Custom Nights.

If you came to forums and read more often - you would realise that these episodes are for custom nights only - they do not happen very often - it's a game plan to break the boredom of playing the same routine - it's the first time that Maestro Madness  is being put into practice :  you should expect  glitches and problems to occur during the pilot episode and any problems that arise can be dealt with as they arise.   Don't be so dismissive of an idea until it has been put into practice - a lot of people enjoyed the witch fest yesterday, tank fest not so successful today - but there we have - idea - test - evaluate.  No good demanding a refund when it's only been the first time of this scenario.

No doubt that this one was a bit of a success and as we do it again any of those minor problems that appeared should be resolved.

10 same classes of infected - that would probably need some tweaking with the plugin - we'll have to wait for a response from Jackie or Crasx about that one.

As for me - that random swap was the main problem - so here's my solution :  1  we could pause the game and mess around for 10mins putting everyone back on their team.  2  If random swap happens - just deal with it, but if you're so  desperate to get back, I do my best to get you back.

The other slight minor irk - people go afk - if you lose your spot when others join - just be patient - it can take a couple of mins - maybe Jackie could increase the 3min auto-kick to 5mins - I'll ask him.  If you crash and rejoin and are on wrong team    DO   ADMINS   A  FAVOUR  -  LET   US   KNOW   and if there are open slots just change yourself - that way you won't confuse us if you're stacking or not.

If you still can't get in after that - just ask me - and I'll be willing to give up my spot - but you better not complain that you're on the wrong team though lol.

As an experiment for tonight - I was thinking we could try Tank Night  for 1 round see how that goes - but we would need to play it on a campaign that has no early possible tanks at start - I suggest Carnival for this.

OK - I would suggest not having both those options on together first - Maestro Madness Witch Night at around midnight GMT - that's in approximately 2hrs and 16mins from now

Getting a bit off track here but here goes - some of you may know that I've got my mother with me - she's on high-risk and not been out of the house since 23rd March - and as her carer, I go shopping, pharmacy, walk the dog and basically that's it - we're not allowed visitors until the end of June, it's the main reason I can't play as much - some of you no doubt will be happy to hear that as you don't like my singing. 

Also, those people who do swap at the beginning of round after scramble happens should be awarded with an incentive - maybe 3pts to buy laser?

I require a lot of USB ports on my desktop - all 8 are being used.  However, there is one at the front that seems to be dying - sometimes it does recognise what's plugged in, but more recently it has begun to completely fail.  Is there a simple solution to bring it back from it's from what it seems it's last breath?

This happens too frequent - we know it's not fair for the regular guys (we know who they are - and we thank them) for always offering to switch to balance - I know some of them want to because they see it as a challenge - but if they do and take over a dead bot - they should be respawned - using the holdit before the game starts, then looking at teams and ask for volunteers is need be to swap; and, we should always balance out the new guys as more often than not one team usually ends up with them all.

In order to inject some light relief and hopefully revitalise this game - I've been thinking (as custom maps can't be played) - about an alternative to have more fun.  The problem is deciding how many points each team should get - here's the scenario :

Tank Night:  Infected receive 50pts (to buy tanks)     Survivors get (30pts each)   

Witch Night :  Infected  40 pts;  Survivors  20.     Number 1 Rule :  if you buy a tank - you will be killed - don't do it.  

No Bot Left Behind - we know that bots are stupid sometimes, but if you have to leave them, you will be asked why - bots that are stuck will be teleported to the group - but sometimes in order to do that ASAP  and not delay - the entire team may have to be - however, we can't teleport people inside building as they usually get stuck in ceilings, floors etc so they will be moved outside as close to the team as possible.

These are only ideas and the points are open for debate:  If we try this as a 'pilot' trial, I'm sure you guys can think of ways how to improve on this.

By all means - if you think of a suggestion - let us know. 

And finally if Jackie is reading this - could we get tanks on respawn for 40pts?  That's if people like that idea?

Lookinng after a disabled mother who is high risk - this is the 5th month she can't go out, so I spent 4 days doing the garden for her, hence not been able to kill zombies much.  Anyhow, here it is for you all to see.

Do we really have to go back to basic RULES (101)?  

I have gone out of my way to help many of you get your membership sorted and this is how you repay not just me or the person you offend with racist, homophobic, intolerant language and attitude; it goes against everything this server tries to upheld - we are a tolerant community and if you can't be, then you're out of here.

NO   APOLOGIES   WILL   BE   ACCEPTABLE   (or 'I didn't mean it like that'  'I was only joking')   Those are sorry excuses  if  you  are  perma-banned  for racism, homophobia etc.
