  1. I've created a Dropbox with a GC folder that I will share with anyone who wants to send me video, images, anything that can be used in the show. Just let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the share link. S.
  2. Yes, weekly is ambitious. I'm hoping there is enough content each week to talk about. If not, then a bi-weekly may be a better fit to begin with. The videos we produce are very, "cookie-cutter" type videos. We've been able to setup the intro, outro, and other timeline aspects in an open project and we insert the finished content into the appropriate space. I'm looking to do the same setup with this. It streamlines the process and allows me to work faster. I've been tossing around ideas for segments such as member interview via Skype, maybe an 'admin of the month', or even showcase member hobbies and activites outside of GC. I've even considered doing Twitch streaming on the pub, highlight reels, maybe a "Top 10" style funny moments. If we have members who can record their gaming and submit the moment they liked the best. I may even start to record games now and build up the library. S. S.
  3. First a little backstory. For those who don't know I work for a photographer and we started producing videos for some of our corporate clients. We've upgraded our computers, got the software and dove into the world of video production. So far we've been able to keep up with our work, but with the demands of the studio and photography I have had very little time to actually learn Final Cut, Premier or After Effects. There just isn't enough time during the day for me to complete my work THEN move into learning video. We've taken on an intern which later became an regular employee, but we had to let him go recently because some of our regular work was cancelled. Anyways, so since things are tight right now with the studio it's falling to me to pick up the slack. Which, I don't mind because I've really wanted to pick this up since we've started, but I don't want to just watch tutorials and learn the software not to be able to produce anything. So, I had an idea to produce a weekly Youtube Gamers Coalition show. This show would help drive people to GC and help keep those who are already in GC up-to-date on whats going on. Each episode will be posted in the forums and of course will have a Youtube channel that will archive them. The episodes will be short to begin with. Until more members are contributing it will basically be just me commentating on the news that I can talk about. I'm hoping that members will help keep me up-to-date on whats going on so that I can turn around and comment on it in the show. For example. Turnbull does a lot of mapping and that would be a segment in the show. I can show-off his current work and showcase it along with the link to the workshop page so that ppl can subcribe and comment. The show could be a good place to talk about Frag-fest, the changes on the servers, new servers, new games, whatever we want to showcase. I hoping this will build membership, viewership and the community itself. I just about have everything I need to get started. I do need to get a new headset, a broadcasting quality mic, mic boom and I need to re-up my subscription to Adobe. I built my recent computer with video editing in mind so thats ready to go. The good news is that I picked up some freelance work that I'm hoping to complete today or tomorrow and with those funds I'll be able to get these last few things and really dive into it. It may seem like a large project for just one person to produce, but with the experience I've gained from my work and my personal determination to expand into this industry I think I can pull it off. Again, the more members can contribute the better the show will be. The show will be short for awhile until we can get a feel for the direction we want to take this in. I want to hear your feedback. I really want to produce something of quality that the community can be proud of and encourage members to participate in. Thanks! S.
  4. I finally paid the dues. I'm a member. Congratulate me. Love me. S.
  5. I played it. I was thinking of jumping back in but the password reset screwed up and I have to contact them directly for them to re-open my account. S.
  6. My next monitor will be an ultra-wide. Not ready for 4K just yet. S.
  7. When I was watching the stream i was hoping that this would be an MMO, but a Team Fortress style shooter would be fun too. Although, that's kinda out of Blizzards area. The characters and the abilities that they showed would lend themselves to an MMO quite nicely. S.
  8. Sorry I missed the fun. I was re-installing the game and left to do other things while it finished. I've only played 30 minutes of TF2 according to my Steam account so I know nothing about the game. S.
  9. I have a Steam coupon for 75% off Serious Sam 3 BFE. Willing to trade for cards, CS skins, whatever. Let me know if you're interested. S.
  10. Turns out I had an invite to the Heros of the Storm alpha so I decided to install and check it out. For those who don't know it is Blizzards take on Dota/LoL. I'm enjoying it so far mainly because everything seems familliar. I've played very little of Dota and none of LoL, but with all the Blizzard characters I'm kinda liking it so far. Anyone else get an invite? S.
  11. Yay! Time to spend money. Oh, and I'm on the blue team.. currently in second place today. S.
  12. Awesome job nonetheless. Would like to see the video of him looking at canyon. I wonder if anything will come of this guy calling out the judges on those other 3 maps. S.

    Wildstar

I know it launched yesterday but I had a chance to watch some videos and check out the website. I like the idea and the gameplay is familiar and looks like a lot of fun. I don't mind the WoW style artwork either. Anyone playing? S.
  14. I'm going to try to pick up the expansion soon. S.
  15. I didn't notice any performance hit. Although, I wasn't doing any benchmarks to confirm it either. Everything was running smooth. S.
  16. Finally playing around with Nvidias ShadowPlay. I think I'll record some Rust antics next. S. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_T3LMJ9h3U&feature=youtu.be
  17. Can you create/host/join any game you want or is it still a random thing you get queued up for and will fill in the first group of poeple that are ready? If it's still that I'm not interested. S.

    Keys

If you don't want to link a credit card to your account just buy a $20 pre-paid steam wallet card to at least set up your Steam Wallet and get going. I usually charge mine up before a big Steam sale and will use the remainder to pick up odds and ends like DLC or cards. The Steam Spring sale should be coming soon. I have a case that needs a key so I'll probably drop for that after I fill up on cheap games. S.
  19. It's Daylight. Yeah, figure it would be cheaper on Steam. I just got it with the GTX770 I just got and said it was $29.99. S.
  20. Yo, Got a key for the game Daylight. Not interested in it. Anyone want to trade? It says it has a $29.99 value. Any takers? S.
  21. Umm..... yeahhhh, when are you going to start on that San? Yeahhh.... if you don't have it today I'm going to need you to come in on Sunday. Yeah.......................................................................................... S.
  22. That was one that I had considered. However, the MSI won due to price and my experience with my previous build that had a MSI mobo that is still a great board. I'm happy with my purchase, but I'm now reading quite a few MSI graphic card reviews that the current batch of cards from MSI both Nvidia and AMD are having fan issues. They leak oil. Some cards more than others. I'm tempted to reach out to MSI to learn more about this problem and just how extensive the problematic fans are across their video card lineup. S.
  23. I was crashing a lot to, but I changed my graphic settings in the game. At start up there is the little window that pops up change the drop down menu there to Fastest and then when your at the Rust screen go into Options and take the graphics quality slider all the day down. The game no longer crashes for me except for the occasional memory error when I exit the game. It is still an alpha but lets that should eliminate the crashes. Try it and see. S.
