  6. Yeah, I'm debating it in my head. I don't feel that Tanks need to have more HP...you know, because of the whole Infected/Survivor vanilla mentality I wanted to keep on the server. I am thinking about reducing the Tank limit to 1 and leaving it to be upgraded to a max of 3 though. Maybe that will be done instead of increasing Tank prices.
  7. The bug should be fixed now. Also, due to the game industry's inflation of game prices, Tanks might cost 60 points plus tax.
  8. There was actually a few tools I used to make it a lot more tolerable. All the characters use different sprites. RPG Maker VX Ace to MV graphic converter was used to port tile sets and some VX Ace assets over which make them look a lot better than just simply enlarging them in photoshop. Had to convert all the music into .ogg format, but other than that, it was just simply importing the graphics and vx ace sound effects over and everything else was retained. The "big" change is that the ice cave doesn't use random encounters anymore. Most if not all the reported bugs from the VX Ace version are fixed.
  9. OH PFFT DERP. I goofed and it started outputting the Client ID for the display points instead of the actual points you'd be getting. Don't worry though, you are getting the correct amount of points. I was going to change it so it would say "Incapped + x points", but changed my mind and forgot about the client id part in there. PrintToChat(attacker, "%s Incapped Survivor + %d points", CHAT_PREFIX, client, GetConVarInt(p_Incap)); CHAT_PREFIX displays the %s part at the beginning to show the [GC] part of text, next the %d part would have shown the "GetConVarInt(p_Incap)" part, but is showing the "client" variable instead. I'll fix it.

Update: -Killing Special Infected bots now award points properly -Assisting in Special Infected bot kills award 1/4th the assist points -Incapping a Survivor bot awards half the normal amount New kill achievement tiers for Survivors: -KILLING MONSTER MASH - Kill 325 common infected -SPECIAL INFECTED ASSASSIN - Kill 100 Special Infected I don't expect many people to ever get this much...especially Dixie who can't even get Special Infected Murderer...

Everything should be okay. Tested it all the way through with one of the two party members you can choose from.
  14. I just recently got RPG Maker MV and I'm in the process of porting it over. Given FK doesn't have an issue with it, I could upload it to GC so you can play it right from your web browser.
  15. Update: -Hopefully fully fixed killed Bot messages and should display correctly -Fixed Achievement in last update not applying correctly in most cases: LITTLE HELP FROM MY LITTLE FRIENDS - Get 5 total points from common infected assists as a Boomer.
  16. Hmm... I should make it so helping bots gives you MORE points! *shifty eyes* *edit The PrintToChat messages should be fixed now. I forgot that printing out floating point values as integers don't play nicely and needed to be converted as such. Healing and reviving bots give the reverted values. Let me know if they still don't work for whatever reason.
  17. I made it so interacting with bots in any way gives you reduced points, but I can revert it back for at least helping bots.
  18. You will still get points. It just displays incorrectly.

Update: -Killing or doing damage to bots will now award less points to the attacking player (for the most part) Thinking of making a one or two time purchase for Tanks (not per Tank, mind you) only that would allow them to open the safe room door...I just have to remember if it's possible or not.
  20. In regards to a rusher, @aim is flawed in the fact the target does kind of need to be in the area of the crosshair, and once the target leaves that area, it won't work. For other things like !sp, it could benefit the sender if the sendee doesn't utilize !np fast enough.
  21. Survivors already have trouble with Tanks when they play against a good Infected team. Big reason I made the change from having a standard 3 Tank limit to a 2 standard, 3 upgradeable is because I don't want to have the map over-saturated with Tanks. It'll get to the point that that's all you'll ever see. I was thinking months ago whether or not I should lower the limit to 1 Tank and have it upgradeable to 3. That wouldn't be much of a problem except once that message comes up, people are going to be expecting to hear the Tank music. If the message comes up without it, it would be even less convincing.

  23. I had nothing to do with GC's creation or anything like that. My sole contribution was the L4D2 server, the loyalty GC deserves of me and the point system it uses (among other minor plugins). The GC Founders and Alumni deserve the credit for founding GC back in 2002? and it's further members/admins/BMs for keeping it going after all these years. A HUUUUUUGE shoutout to Flitterkill for keeping the community stabilized after aaaaaallllllll these years. It wouldn't be alive without him.
  24. I don't say this enough to you guys, but thanks for supporting the servers for...what...5 years now? It's been a long journey and we couldn't have done it without all of you guys. Admins, Members, Pubs, it doesn't matter. I appreciate every one of you guys for coming back and playing here and supporting GC for what it stands for. Thank You!
