even though I'm not an admin, I can watch over the servers when needed. I've admined a TF2 server before, so it's nothing new to me

true. Mixing up the modes and maps are a smart thing. if our TF2 server gets big enough and we can have a 2nd one, maybe we could have one based on Arena for real competitive play, with the other one for fun

CTF definitely is popular, but with Arena, I feel it offers a more competitive experience, and being fun all the same. In CTF people run on their own like CoD noobs, but when playing Arena, people learn to be smarter since they only have one life per round. And when it's one person left on each team, it gets intense watching who will win. Plus, out of all Arena maps, Arena_2Fort attracts a lot of players. I could see that as a big crowd drawer. Plus Roll the Dice makes Arena games even more fun

I actually have it on lowest settings. but again, laptops still aren't the best for gaming. As for removing mods, i'll probably turn off some that i wont be using when im doing these kind of gameplays. like the team health counter and such. or i may just keep 1 mod on at a time, like a character model. as for editing, i dont have the money to buy good programs. i've pirated Sony Vegas, but i cant figure it out at all so there was no point in me having it. the best i can do is Windows Movie Maker. but thanks for the feedback. I'll try getting a commentary version up in the next 2 days or so

ehhh idk if i should post it here, but Pump said to so meh. I uploaded a gameplay video from my test gameplay using fraps on my laptop. unfortunately it had a lot of lagging due to it being a crappy Dell laptop, but the performance was better than i thought. I plan on recording more gameplay, but gameplay from the server. i plan on adding a commentary to this if anyone would be interested. here's the link and tell me what you think! so is this thing gonna happen?

This is something I wanted to ask everyone about. Even though I wasn't playing long (Power shut off on me), I was on Map 1 of Swamp Fever, and there were a lot of bots on my team. As far as I know, we're always told to leave the bots. Then people on the other team were saying we were leaving teammates behind, but I thought they were all bots (we had 5 or so bots) until I noticed Human After All. so I went back for him (and died in the process since I was the only one trying to help. Yes Pump you may laugh). So I want to know, if there are a lot of bots, are we supposed to wait for them, or leave them behind? or do we only leave behind bots when there's 1 or 2?

i'll say this much, i've never set up a server at all x.x but i have watched over and did the usual kick/ban/warn/adminduties on servers before. that's the best im able to do, unless someone teacher me otherwise

i've known the guy for 7 years. he built the computer for me to use anyway. he and another one of my friends have been messing with my laptop lately and they said they'll mess with it so it can run TF2. I've run TF2 on my mom's old laptop that has Windows Vista x.x and it was only slightly laggy. i have a Dell laptop with Windows 8, so it should run better. but because it's a laptop i haven't even attempted running TF2 yet lol

My only issue is that my laptop can't run it, however, im at one of my friend's house a lot, and he has an extra computer he lets me use, so i can play TF2 and watch over the server. then im gonna have him mess with my laptop and TF2 itself to run on lowest settings and make certain things invisible so it'd run easier before i leave for college. since it's one of the games i play the most, i'd have no trouble

well what about custom maps? popular ones like Death Aboard? i know we try to keep it Vanilla, but 5 years of the same campaigns just gets boring

if i helped lead the server, would that help? on arena servers i'll be on a whole lot. so i could help manage

I'm sure this has been asked, but I wanna know myself what you guys think. It'd be cool if we had a TF2 server. The game is fun...but boring with randoms x.x i was thinking we have an Arena_2Fort map. with the RTD (Roll The Dice) on it. makes it really fun. i mentioned the idea of a TF2 server, so i decided to ask everyone here (yes pump im stealing the credit xD) tell me what you guys think

odds are i won't be able to play due to me being with family all day. but if there's a time late at night i'll be more than happy to take a spot

actually when you control a witch, the only difference is that you can move it, switch from sitting to walking, and startle it whenever you want, and the target is random. player controlled witches still attack one survivor

Been playing on the server for about a month and a half now (yes i got my membership only 2 days ago leave me alone :'( ) and there was something I always wanted to see on the server. In previous 10v10 servers i played on over the years, there was the ability to be able to take control of the witch. I was wondering if maybe that could be a possibility. i understand we wanna keep the game somewhat balanced with no big changes, but i think controlling the witch could add a pretty fun change to the server
