  1. So I have followed the instructions and my binds will not work. Ex: bind "l" "laser"  like this in console today and it would not work. 

    Any help would be great!!

    thats not it works, what you did there was bind "l" to execute the comand "laser". you should follow what the other post say THOROUGHLY.

    just so you know what you are doing, here's a brief explanation on how the binds work and what you need to do get the laser bind working.

     

    first, binds are just a shorcut to execute one or more of the game's engine comands

    second, the server has its own comands, they are only executable trough the chat.

    third, you can either create all your binds trough the console, or by creating a .cfg file which you can edit anytime you want. the later is ideal if you plan on having 20+ binds

     

     

    so, what you need to do is bind a key to sayin the chat the server's comand that gives you the laser, its goes like this:

     

    sm_      is the source/game engine comand that says something in the game chat whithout it actualy apearing in it, you need to add what you want it to say

    !laser    is the server's chat comand that you use during the game to get the laser

     

    so what you need to do is this:

    bind "l" "sm_!laser"

     

    hope that helps you understand how it works!

  2. I am worried about over complicating it though. Right now I only have 5 binds

     if you use your number keypad + the insert/home/page up keys it gets pretty easy to remenber your binds

    I cannot come within 30 meters of the survivors, maybe try new strategies

    a tip on these situations, try to cordinate whit other players, if you cant chat, watch and wait  till someone distracts the skeeters whit a hunter or smoker to get a hit on them. you could also all atack at the same time, its less efective gameplay wise but at least someone is sure to get a hit on them.

     

     

     

    think that we should put some customs into rotation

    dont put them in the rotation, it would kill the server each time they come up, but if they could be automated to play once a week in the low activity hours, that'd be healla neat.

    I use mouse5 but you can use whatever you want.

    i use enter for that one

     

    one thing i think people should do more often, thats including me, is look around. specialy around bottleneck points.

    just because you can see 8 people ahead of you and past the bottleneck point doesnt mean the last player is already trough

     

    last night  in no mercy/the subway, when we got to the generator room i forgot to look if everybody was trough and our last 2/3 players where getting destroyed at the botton of the stairs, we all had to go back down and we got wrecked.

    maybe if it is for taking more than 3/5? untochables

    or the second untochable, it would be too much of a headstart only for the first one

    this is a great idea, people could even mistake them for normal witches and get rekt, although fire inmunity might be too much.

  6. It's a shame about Cold Stream.  That happens a lot.  I personally like playing that campaign.  I don't understand why people only want to play the same 4 or 5 campaigns over and over.

    i like cold stream, but i have to switch to low graphic settings so my  game wont crash, only happens online tho.

    btw, anyone gona be streaming it? my conection is utter crap atm so even if there are open slots i wont be able to join for long.

    preferably trought steam or youtube since twitch forces 720p resolution and thats too much for my isp, bleh!

Can you buff damage points given as charger when pounding survivor and nerf for punching incaps, seems kinda weird how its almost always better to just punch instead of charging.  Such as if you pound survivor to death you usually only get like 10 points but if you punched you would get over 30.

    this is interesting, because the only reason you can get away whit punching an incap to death is the healing...

    the best solution would be to lower the points you get for hitting incaped, so that you dont earn that many from the punching/healing cycle.

     

    and i dont know about the buff, you have already grab them and they cant even heal. points earned trough pounding should be similar to hunter pounce, that is, if they kill at a similar pace.

    i rarely use more than 3 in any given map. any map that isnt mainstreet, sweet farming spot that one.

  10. Less fireworks, or make them more expensive would be better in my opinion. Most people don't even shoot CI no more they just burn through them and run or let them waddle around. The commons should be a threat or a nuisance to the survivors. At the moment they aren't. You can pretty much just toss a crate at whatever fence they're climbing to swarm into you and they'll be bottle-necked there.

     

    Also having fireworks damage the person who shot it if they go into it much higher. Because the damage it does now isn't that bad. I'd shoot a crate and sit in it with pills and just kill whatever horde's after me or whatever tank comes to me if they fall for it.

     

    Could be my imagination but I remember not having fireworks before and it made things much more tough to run through. I don't think lessening the amount of fireworks makes it harder for survivors. All it takes is for two good survivors who can coordinate to wipe a whole uncoordinated 10-man SI team. So I don't see survivors getting that much harder with anymore added penalties/limitations to the fireworks itself.

     

    Just my thoughts on the topic that may or may not make sense. : D

    i like the idea of commons being more of a problem for survivors, maybe they could get a boost in hp?

     

    on the topic of FW, werent they pricier before limit was set?

  11. The current state of fireworks should be changed from a personal limit to a team limit. They're ridiculously cheap for how strong they are, and the personal limit is too high (who buys molotovs unless you have to flush a tank out?). In the actual game, fire actually hurts teammates instead of just the owner. This prevents teams from walking their way across the map in a burning path like they're currently doing now. Making the fireworks a team limited item will prevent literally every player farting out fireworks every time they get boomed and use them with a little more team focus in mind.

    for fear of wasting/messing it up, i would never buy fireworks again. plus it would put more presure on the team carriers, and also make them the ones that get all the points from them which would also make them waste more time on !sp.
