    Dirk who??

Since this is the old school reunion I might as well post...
  2. Haha - this post had me cracking up especially when I found my image.
  3. Actually mages are easy too. Stun them from behind because they always blink once they are stunned so if you are behind them you will already be facing the direction they blink (which is the way they are facing) which allows you to sprint to them and own them before they can cast sheep on you. As you know any cloth wearing class dies in about 3-4 seconds vs a rogue so you just have to position it right when you stun them.
  4. Druids are actually pretty easy to beat as rogue. You only need to vanish out of one root before you reach them with a cold blood eviscerate and the fight is over. Even better is to just drop a free action potion at start of fight and that completely neutralizes a druid.
  5. You are aware that even with faery fire on you can still vanish to break druids root right?

    Prayers needed

I feel for you Goot. Believe me, I know all about vindictive people at work. I'm glad you have your wife there to keep you on your feet and to emotionally support you as you bounce back from this. It's hard to not let it get to you but you have to know better things come from this. Just believe in yourself and keep that confidence riding through your interviews and you'll be back working again shortly. FYI - Large companies cannot tell the reason why you were terminated due to lawsuits over slander, etc. They can only verify your employment meaning that they can say you worked there from this date to this date so you don't have to come straight out in an interview and say you were fired.
  7. I looted a Myrmidon's Signet (ring +10 str, +7 agi, +17 stam) and I still wear that. I've got my 900g epic mount and that's about it for epic items. Everything else I wear is blue.
  8. I used to love River City Ransom and Shadowrun on the super nes.

    rogues

I'm on Stormreaver an all pvp server and I'm talking about lvl 60 vs lvl 60. A rogue can whoop anyone anytime easily. Sure it's possible to lose if you miss all your skills but you won't die either on rogue. Rogues have too many escape possibilities. How can you lose if they have the following? First aid - use blind on them and use first aid on yourself - no advantage that they can heal themselves. Potions - you can use them too so once again no advantage to them. Engineering - who cares they won't live long enough to use it and wear a spider belt to break snares, roots, etc. that they could use on you. As a rogue unless you miss your skills terribly which never happens in my experiences you should win all the time. In a game that is setup where the person that gets the drop usually wins a rogue always has a disctinct advantage because of stealth.
  10. I've heard that it's also bannable to take it off into places you are not supposed to get to by redirecting it's flight path.

    rogues

There is no one I cannot beat on my rogue. At lvl 60 I've beat every class in the game consistently and never die in a 1v1. Normally my fights last about 4 seconds before I kill them unless its a priest which might take about 10 seconds or a warrior might last longer than the initial blast because of armor but is easily beat after that.
  12. For me I pay the fee because you constantly get new content each month and the game is always changing. I don't get bored and often times these big games it will take you a year to accomplish everything in game and by that time so much content is added that you have a ton more things to do. I truly love the mmorpgs and their worlds are truly immersive and never repetitive on the good ones so it's that reason alone that I pay the monthly fee. I pay $15/month to keep entertained rather than buy the latest $50 game each month to do it. I figure I'm making out.
  13. Finished it too - loved the end when I could use the gravity gun to shoot their bodies around - hehe. Great game!

    GO BUCKS!

Always nice to see my alumni kick Michigan's butt
  15. I have both and definitely WoW > HL2. Not even close in comparison. Just like soul said you get burned out on HL2 after time yet there is a billion things to do in WoW and the world is amazingly huge. It would take you probably 10 hours to run across the entire world.
  16. I read that the 6600GT is better than the x700xt so if you go that route that is the choice for you. As far as how the 6600GT stacks up against the 6800OC I've no idea. One good thing is that the longer you wait the lower the prices will go on those cards.
  17. I found your picture of the chicks...
  18. I like how your workshop is your bed. It cracked me up to see that. I don't feel half as bad now when I'm doing the same thing here when I build my comps.
  19. My guess is that you got beat up for having that mustache.
  20. Damn that sucks you had to pay tax. That's the one great thing about ordering out of Ohio since there are very few computer places here. I never have to pay tax on it. Still $1200 is a good price for how nice that computer will be.
  21. Did you use the new nvidia unified drivers the 5.10? A ton of people are having problems with it and its IDE drivers. Maybe try loading an older version of the unified drivers if that is the case or read some forums about how people worked around it. Also, did you remove the old drivers before writing over the top of the new ones?
  22. You're going to love that new comp!
  23. Here is an article about the 90nm chip. http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2242&p=1 You have to ask when you order to make sure to get the 90nm because I don't think it specifies it on the link you provided from newegg. That would be the case for the 3500 since it's produced in both the 130 and 90nm size for the 939 socket.
  24. For a 939 motherboard I've been considering: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-130-468&depa=1 It got the best reviews for it on Anandtech and I've read a bunch of good reviews on it. It offers the most bang for the buck. I agree with ZD that the nforce boards are better than the via. At least from what I have read they outperform them in almost all categories. As far as overclockable ram the OCZ ones that All Killer linked are awesome. It's actually been rated as pc-3500 ram but packaged as pc-3200 so you can't really go wrong with it. It's definitely costlier though. I'd go with the 3500+ if you can and definitely go with the 90nanometer > 0.13microns process. At least with that few extra bucks you will spend it would give you much more options down the road. You could overclock it and not have to upgrade sooner down the road. I've been waiting to upgrade everything as well but want to wait til after the first of the year for newer video cards to come out to drop the prices down a bit. Also the nforce4 boards will be coming out soon so I'm a bit interested to see how they perform. Problem with computers is everytime you want to upgrade new stuff keeps coming out. Damn vicious cycle...
