I recently tried out this amazing Medieval RPG / FPS / RTS game called Mount and Blade. It really is not any of those game genres, but still has parts of each of them. You have to check this out if you have not tried it. You can get the game directly from the developer's website, but you need to purchase a cd-key to play past level 7. Here is a link: http://www.taleworlds.com/ I think you can also demo and purchase the game through steam. It is really the most fun I've had in a medieval combat type game. Check out this video to see what the combat is like. Anyone on here played it? If so tell me how you usually play in battles. My brother and were surprised by how different our fighting styles were after we watched each other in the battles.

UO was the best online gaming experience evaaaaaaaaar! I dream every night for a new game that captures even the slightest bit of what UO was. Darkfall Online is supposed to be delivering that, but I am having trouble believing it.

Why do you say the graphics are terrible? It certainly does not have realistic graphics like HL2 or anything, but they are still pretty good in my book. How would you rate them compared to WOW? Seems like they both use the same kind of style.

I can definitely see myself playing through it again if I ever truly make it through it once. I just built my spaceship. So I'm guessing I still have a long way to go. But about replay value, I already want to develop a completely different creature from the ground up doing herbivore and trying to ally with other creatures / nations instead of destroying them. But yeah, this game isn't going to have the replay value like TF2 does!

I just played the preview weekend beta and was blown away. I was really amazed at the public quests and RvR setups. I spent hours fighting at some battle ground between Empire and Chaos (I think) and it actually felt like a war. It's also really cool that you can open your map and there will be conflict markers where RvR is happening. If there are a lot of GC people planning on trying this, we should try to select a server for all GC to play on like some people did with AoC.

Yeah it can do high definition. The one I have is a Panasonic HVX200. Instead of using the normal P2 cards for the high definition recording though, I have a 100gig external hard drive that was manufactured specifically for this camera(i think) that it can record to. I also have a boom pole, boom mic, storage / carrying case for the camera and camera accessories, and several other items for doing films. Let me know if this is something you're interested in, and I'll get you the details on everything. The camera has only been used for 2 weddings and a short film. So it is still in extremely good condition. EDIT: Yeah sorry I've been busy at work today, wrote this thing at like noon and just now posted it :x

Clue it really does get better once you get some nice perks and weapons. You should level up some and try playing it on a server with Team Deathmatch before you go and sell it!

When I first started messing with the server I was trying to shorten the mapcycle to the maps that I thought were the most popular so more people would play on the server. Everytime I had played Dustbowl it was a blowout for the attacking team and never seemed like much fun to me. But I'll put it back on now that the server seems to fill up everynight. Also, what custom maps do you guys think are mapcycle worthy? All the ones I've changed it to seem to kill the server population.

What nades are you talking about that take a long time to throw? And I can see it taking a long time to get a level 3 turret if you are placing it in the middle of enemy territory, but if you place in a good spot it shouldn't take that long to upgrade.

Bluemars.org has some good streaming ambient too. I like its Cryosleep stream.

It looked like he knew a few places where he could fall through the ground and then build a dispenser and turret. The turret could shoot through the bottom side of the ground at people, but we couldn't shoot through the top of it to destroy the sentry.

If I was on there, sorry. I don't have the hang of everything yet. I did kick a turret exploiter before the night was over though

I was checking the server tonight to see if anyone was on it, and I noticed the VAC secured symbol was not showing up beside the server in the listings. Could this be why we aren't getting much traffic on it?
