Fatty has his moments...everyone does. However, I totally respect the way the Mmmm server is run. It's clean and fun...rarely are there issues with jerk players and cheaters. Windex, a while back a wise man said to me (ok, he was probably drunk)..."It's their sandbox we only play there." This means that if you want to be in the sandbox you follow their rules...it also might mean you have to deal with some things you don't want to. Thats life. Get used to it or get out of the sandbox.

You would know if your hard drive was being "thrashed". It would be making lots of noise and the light would be on the whole time. You might still want to check all the startup stuff that is happening...virus protection is probably the culpret but thats a guess. I'd give Dell a call...make sure you tell them you already rebooted

After the 2-3 minutes do things run fine? Does it thrash the HD during this time or just appear to be sitting idle? If you boot to safe mode does it exhibit the same behavior? Is this a store pc or a home built?

For my knowledge gain...is the use of NetBios because of the ghost software? I didn't think NetBios had anthing to do with TCP.

So your cisco router doesn't support DNS? Thats interesting in itself. If you have your IP lease set long enough (couple days) and don't turn off the XP machine, you should be able to use the IP...least in theory.

My favorates so far are the shanhara series by Terry Brooks and the Dave Eddings books...forget the series...Belgariad or something. There are 3 sets of books from Eddings. Course reading isn't something I do much anymore...well, cept for the kid books.

Don't different bots play differently/better? Did you reboot your computer? Did you power it off, wait 5 minutes and power it back on? Try playing without the mouse...or with only the mouse. Turn off mouse look and use it for forward and backwards.

I'm of the other extreme...I don't see anything wrong with sex before marriage. It's fun and as long as you are intelligent about it you won't have pregnancy or disease.

Any NFL fan has seen or heard about all the officials issues in the last 2 weeks of playoffs. They cost NY the game. So, how do you think officials could be better in the NFL? How do you think Instant Replay can be better utilized? I've always felt that full time officials should be used in the NFL. Here you have 140+ million dollars in salary each week being decided by 100,000 dollars of salary(maybe). One argument I've read about is what would the officials do during the week. My answer is, 1, exercise...make sure you are in the best shape possible to keep in the best position possible for the play. 2, watch tape...review the games you officiated & other games...look for better ways to make the calls. 3, visit teams practice facilities and "officiate" the scrimages. Instant replay...how about getting a good official in the booth. One who is given the power to both call a replay and make the decision. Stop having the guy on the field run to a camera to watch it...it might end up with more replays called during the game but you can shave the time of having the ref run to the sideline so the decisions would be quicker. Just thoughts, give yours.
