Think I spent about 500 on new forks 5 or so years ago and that was at the honda shop. If your able you can probably do it yourself much cheaper...however, I rode for probably 7 years on what I had & since I wasn't a speed demon, I never had an issue. Oh to be young again with a bike...oh wait...one like that I'd kill myself on:)

Nice bike!!! Busted fender eh? You know what that means? Make sure you check those forks. You might not notice a bent fork till your at around 100 and the front end starts shaking. I rode my bike for years on bent forks...course I never went that fast cause the front end would shake Enjoy it...be careful...and take the course if you haven't already...as I told playaa...it WILL save your life.

I've had my bike longer than I've been married. 20 years now. I don't ride it much more than around the sub-division anymore. 2 reasons...1, a 7 year old child and 2, the bike is 23 years old and I don't trust it to get too far away:)

I'm not condoning it but man...I can sure understand it. Guess the shame is the risk to other lives. I mean, I'm sure jumping out of an airplane is a HUGE rush, just like going 240 kph on a motorcycle, just not worth the risk to me...but I can understand it.

6'2", 290lbs...I wanna see video of you on a 250:) My 550 is rated to carry about 300 lbs and you can tell when you are at that point or over. Take the course...you will ride 250s there & see how you don't want to buy one. Just take the course!!!

I used 2 men and a truck in my last cross town move. Did ok but messed up my desk & washer. Not horrid but had to be fixed. They did get done quick. All other moves were done with U-Haul and my back.

Yea, your size you need a 600+. You could get away with a 450 but not for that distance. Bikes are a blast...going on 20 years owning mine now...course I rarely ride it now...kids will do that to ya. Whatever you pick up I'm sure you will be happy with it. Oh, advice to look into? Make sure you get one that will run without a battery. Many a times I've been stuck or having to ride while tacking out 2500 cause my battery is drained under that RPM.

I never had much luck with Seagate drives. I have had 100% failure with them. Course I only owned 3 of them in my time before I switched to Western Digital and haven't gone back.
