Anyway i decided to pull the trigger and pick up a copy via steam, so if anyone IS picking it up and interested in playing, just lemme know.

Hello Gamers Coalition!!! Long time no chat. Seriously, i haven't spent any time with you guys in forever, for what its worth - I miss you all dearly! (those that I remember, anyway!) So anyway, I came here tonight hoping to see at least a few people excited for an upcoming MMO/FPS Hybrid called Global Agenda.. but i can't find anything so i figured i'd make a post. The visual style and gameplay mechanics seem to be a pretty tight hybrid of Tribes 1 and Team Fortress 2, in that you have a pretty rough set of classes, and there are jetpacks and generally neat looking sci-fi weapons. Apparently there are vehicles and RPG/Leveling up elements similar to that of CoD4 where you would unlock new pieces of equipment to take with you. Is anyone here interested? Anyone planning on buying? Steam is doing a 4-pack and i'd love to jump on board with some old friends from GC. Figured it out, yes. The monitor is widescreen and has a native resolution of 1680x1050. My old Resolution for CS was 1600x1200. This is what was causing the crash I looked up startup paramaters and put in a custom height and width and it booted up NP Btw, this is probably the most beautiful monitor i've ever seen. Yea.. so i upgraded to a 22 inch Viewsonic Widescreen - its absolutely gorgeous, however.. when i try to load up CS it immediately crashes to the desktop with no errors or anything, the game just doesnt even pop up with the title screen, im not sure what exactly is causing the problem - every other game loads no problem. (Steam games and non-steam games alike) .. It seems that this one specifically is giving me trouble. Unfortunately its my favorite game - can anyone out there help me solve this issue? Hey GCers, this is k-wix, i havent been around the community much lately, but i wanted to let you all know that i've been recruited into WoW, im not technically playing on any major GC servers. But me and my close group of friends are all on Moon Guard which is an RP server, and i know some people arent diggin' that and thats cool, but i wanted to let the GC WoW community to know that they are welcome to come join us. Z3Ro you were in the exact same boat i was, and i decided to save up and overhaul the system entirely. Socket A is dying. and by dying i mean dead AGP is also dying, not dead yet, but expensive as heck to upgrade to compete with PCI-E So 2 pieces of your motherboard (the two most critical to gaming, no less) are dying. 1 is pretty much gone, Socket A. Do some research and see what kinda chipset you wanna go with, something that can CHANGE to dual-core is important i think for the future of gaming (when stuff like Crytek comes out) Then, make sure its PCI-E compatible. you can usually find a good Mobo for under 100$, usually around 70 if you look hard. Socket T (LGA 775) is pretty popular now, and a good budget PC with good expandibility would be the Socket 939 series, which I am currently running, lets find a good 939 board for you http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813188007 Theres a solid choice, its cheap.. has dual PCI-Express compatibility (IS PCI-E in the first place) and is .. well, cheap! its really well priced. Also has standard 400 DDR Ram, i know DDR2 is out and a bit better, but you can get some pretty fast DDR Ram, when you have the cash, its pretty pricey for like 2 gigs i think your lookin at 150 Easy, but yea.. its got all the features you want. So now we're at 280, WAY over the price mark, or like 250 if you went with the cheaper board. So yea, that would be a hot budget setup right there Plus you can expand to Dual-core, PCI-E, and stuff, th system will last you a good 3-6 years if you upgrade it steadily. But dont just go and buy everything because i said so, i know a lot about CPUs and GPUs and how to put a solid system together, but others probably know a lot more, do some research and make your own decisions G/L and enjoy the $$

The game requires Shader Model 3.0 to run, the 5950 XT is only 2.0. yes, i had to pop in my spare 6600 GS, worked pretty good after that, still quite laggy though!

So yea, i just had a small 4-person lan setup to play the new Rainbow Six Vegas game. I think its pretty hot, LOVE the system, brilliant game design, can be as fun as CS for me at times... but its buggy as heck, one of my bros can't even run it with a 5950 XT Card, and the ones that could run it ran it laggy at best. I got a nice box, best out of my friends and i could only run it at 1024x768 with everything on medium-to-low On the upside it has some of the most tactical elements ever seen in a game, im especially fond of sneaking around and using cover, then popping around a corner quick and nailing someone. Playing single-player is decently entertaining, but co-op over lan brought about some extremely solid moments. You guys try it yet?

as far as video games go, the megaman series has my favorite music, 2 and 3 especially. Movies? Jurassic Park easily comes to mind. Excellent music. Tv? humm...donno off the top of my head.

One of the things i like the most about it is its use of colors, you use some of the ugliest colors known to man, you got like Mango Orange, Pea Green, even worse Pea Green, and like.. Torquise. But the colors really compliment each other well and it looks solid. thats why i like it so.
