  1. Right now i have asus pg348q 34in curved and 2 21.5 in side monitors I am looking to replace the 21.5 with 25in+ monitors but cant really make up my mind, im looking for slim beezle to beezless monitors. price range is up to 600 usd per. any thoughts?
  2. So I just purchased the monitor. I had a 30" Professional Dell Monitor P series and it worked well, but I heard Jackie and all the hype of his 24" and about the 1ms response time and the 144 Hz. So Went and bought this 27" for a local retailer who had it for the same price as online stores have it for which is around $799. If I did not like it, It would be an easy return. Mind you this monitor is 3" smaller than the dell I had. You cannot even compare. Everything is so crisp and smooth. The 1ms response time and 144 Hz (once set on the desktop settings) really show how nice my graphics card with this monitor is. The desktop even looks better. Then playing games, is awesome. I cant believe I was playing on my 30" dell this long. My 30" dell is no slouch, but this 27" makes gaming so much more fun. It also looks just as nice with a nice stand and thin bezel. It is paired with a single GTX-780ti. I recommend this monitor not on stats, but on how awesome it performs now with my video card. I played Call of Duty and L4D2 last night to see how it compared. So much crisper. Regards -Turbo
  3. I need a new monitor and did my own research... well the ones I like are more than I can invest at this moment. My budget is restricted to <$200. In addition, a monitor has to be good for gaming. Some of my choices: Dell, another Dell and this one. As you can see I like Dells monitor. Recommendations? What you have?
  4. Hey guys, sooooooo I had 2 issues with my computer and im not exactly sure what is wrong with it. So just looking for any random suggestions First i can't put the computer to sleep/standby. When i try, the computer powers off for 1 second and turns on again. With the exception of the monitor which stays in standby. Got to hold the power button to restart the computer to use it again. Second is that sometimes i assume my game crashes (rare) and it does the same thing with the monitor. Tower is still on and monitor is off/in standby. And then when i manually restart the computer when this happens half the time the monitor still wont show anything. Takes a couple trys sometime. So im fairly certain that these issues are related Build cpu- i7 920 ( i overclocked it, messed up the temps tho) Motherboard- P6x58D Premium memory- 3x4gb gskill raw ddr3 gpu- gigabyte superoverclocked gtx580 <---- i bought this refurbished 2 years ago (can it be the issue??) psu - tx850watt display- Samsung syncmaster 2333hd
  5. ok so for christmas i got a second monitor and a wall mount it is mounted on my wall and the main purpose i got it was so i could play games such as smite and then have the internet pulled up on the other monitor. but for some reason when i go into smite all set up my second monitor shifts to the right so it only shows like a half to maybe a 1/3 is showing. and then my desktop takes out the other half so i only have like a sliver of the internet. Pleas if someone has a solution to this problem reply would be very helpful, my laptop res is .1920x1080 and my 22 inch monitor is at 1600x900
  6. I have a business idea that I'm looking into and to do it properly I want to get really high quality video. In looking at most sites I am noticing more and more that the professional cameras they had a few years ago have been largely replaced by DSLR cameras. The video shooting I have planned will have good lighting and be tripod mounted with no action shots so I don't need telephoto lenses. What I want is to film video of an individual speaking directly into the camera in a seated position and the camera mounted on a tripod. I would prefer one that also has a decent quality mic built in so I don't have to have a separate solution for sound. What I need is to have this professional quality with myself being an amateur user. I realize there will be some learning involved but I am a quick study and tech savy. So hear are my questions: What would work best? What have you personally used? Keeping quality vs price in mind what is the best solution for someone just starting out with filming? Is a DSLR as good in this type of filming as a digital video camera in the professional range like Canon XL2? Thoughts?
  7. Today, I bought two new monitors, from a brand that I never thought I'd seriously purchase from, and a store I never seriously thought would have great prices. After doing a lot of browsing around, I finally decided to go with two HP LED 21.5" 1.5lb 3/4" thick monitors. In the new computer builds thread, I posted a photo of my set up running 3 BenQ LCD 24" screens. I've also played around with the same, but in LED format, and honestly folks, these HP, as sad as it sounds, really blow them away, and it's still the 1080 resolution we all love. I also found them at best buy, for 169.99 each. I imagine this price goes up and down depending on where you live, but, I mean, wow. I've had the privilege of playing with a lot of screens out there, and these just managed to blow my freakin mind. I seriously never thought I'd get an HP screen or buy it from best buy of all places. NCIX and Newegg, I hang my head towards you. Shame. Now, I know someone out there is saying "Holy... 5 monitors?" No, I left those 3 in Vancouver. But, as weird as this sounds, I swear to you, these 21.5" screens are the same exact size as the 24" BenQ screens, if not bigger. (I know it's corner to corner) They just feel a lot larger - and I mean, I'm sure part of the high price tag for this smaller screen has to do with the LED display, and the ridiculously thin and light screens, but, I'm so impressed, that I just don't care. There are really only one reason I'm not rushing to buy a third, and that's because very few games look correct while running 5760x1080. Now, I've seen Asus 23" monitors on NCIX go for the same price, sometimes cheaper. But, they're also LCD, have thick screens, and then I have to pay shipping, and just hang my head at the additional "handling" costs they throw in there. Other Canadians will know what I mean. I honestly looked at a few Asus monitors prior to buying these, but I'm so happy, that it's pretty hard for me to complain. Sure, I probably paid a little more than necessary, but that's the convenience of walking into a store, instead of waiting a week (or two, darnit Canadian shipping!!!) for a package to ship, and not having to worry about a DPOA. Of course, I had a bit of a funny blonde moment, and didn't realize that I packed the wrong PSU AC Cord, my PSU requires 15A/110-240VAC , and I was trying to use a 10A/125V Cord. Oops. Tehe I'll get a photo uploaded.
  8. Could have posted this in the deals section but this is more of a pointer for builders and those more adventurous than the rabble... http://www.ebay.com/...#ht_3864wt_1154 Major discussion starting in mid Feb on Overclock: http://www.overclock...nd-catleap-q270 South Korean, they ship from SK. Glossy but everyone says very legit. Same panel as used in all the major brand big price stuff we're used to here state-side. If you are looking to upgrade or just need a monitor... Hard to turn this one down.
