  1. No one is on anymore. We kinda need to figure out if we are gonna remake the map with the official release date or stick with what we got. Since virtually no one is on anymore I'd be fine with a new map. 11/11/11 should have a ton of new features and have many of the bugs fixed.
  2. So, I should have posted this long ago, but I was too busy... playing Minecraft... Minecraft Crafting This will show you how to craft anything in the game as far as items go. Beginner's Guide This will show you how to survive your first day and night, and get you on the path to global domination! This is a fairly entertaining series with some info on getting started. He posted his last video a while back but most of it is still relevant. Another series, still being updated, on everything Minecraft related. Here's a third video series that's also a bit old, but mostly relevant. Another basic guide. Yep, another one. If there's any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
  3. Just fyi, we are running with constantly updated builds now. Here's the change log. Running 1137 as I post this. Remember that they can only bug fix stuff on the Bukkit side. 4. First compatible build came out yesterday. Updated server 11pm October 4th with the latest build. You can read about all bukkit changes here: http://ci.bukkit.org/job/dev-CraftBukkit/changes
  5. I know a lot of other people are having the same issue, but no one has posted anything about it yet. Right now I can not play Minecraft(my own choice), the hunger meter goes down crazy fast, I can only walk like a minute or 2 and it starts to deplete. This is quite annoying, and it was never an issue before. I think it started 2 days ago, not sure if Bukkit had an update that borked it or if this is how it's supposed to be now. I can't stand working on something and the next minute I have to eat just to keep working. Before it was maybe once an hour you would only have to worry about your hunger meter. Flitter, do you know what may have caused this? Also mobs are not spawning correctly anymore either, and I want more wool!

  7. Connection refused for me. Is the server down?
  8. Anyone else having trouble this morning logging in to minecraft? It won't connect to minecraft.net Cancel that, finally 40+ attempts later it connected for login.
  9. GotLost (the /gohome plugin) is back and fine. Same with the giftsend one. Some of these later builds have been brutal on the server cpu (100% pinned brutal). Don't be overly surprised if I revert or tweak or whatever; occasionally with no announcement. This is of course all to be expected with a buggy MC and on-the-fly development of Bukkit alongside it. Nether is disabled for the moment.
  10. So i explored that huge ocean to the south today to uncover msot of it. I had plans to build something out there in the middle, and i see someone already built something. What are the odds? Seriously? Could build anywhere in the WHOLE map and they build in the exact place i had an idea for. I don't know if i should laugh or go punch something. The whole map...seriously.
  11. 1.8 Official is out, client and server!@#$!@#% change list! sooo Fk, can we get the server updated when you get a minute purrty please?
  12. I bought it one night after a few beers when curiosity got the best of me...had to see what the fuss was about, but it's clearly not my cup of tea. Anyway to sell this thing legally?
  13. Client Server Villages are creepy, as they are void of NPCs and also a bit oddly/poorly formed. Will post some screenshots/cartos in a bit.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_jJJTROkJ0 And for the more in-depth version... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X33dxpD4kk0
  15. Play by play screenshots of San, Peckles and I clearing out the old map... never enough TNT... BOOM
  16. Just took some screenshots of stuff on the server if anyone wants to see before the new map.
  17. Woot. Also a paint mod that looks rather sweet, same guy who made the piston mod before it was integrated into 1.7
  18. ServerState: Every 10 minutes saves the world. Does not provide griefer rollback protection; only server crash protection. GoHome: Separate from spawn. Set a home point with /myhome. Teleport to your set home point with /gohome. New plugin with reports that you might (emphasis on might) end up in a block near your home point. Mostly reported stable. LINK An optional replacement for this would be THIS. I'll leave it to the rabble to decide. GiveAll: Admin only (none for ops). Perhaps the server will be generous, perhaps not... DeathNotifier: You're gonna die so why hide it? This plugin will let the world know how you failed to measure up to the harsh, unforgiving world that is MineCraft. LagMeter: Is it you or the server? This ONLY checks the server; not your ping or computer connection or whether your computer is sucking. The memory bit is meh, just pay attention to the TPS (ticks per second). 20 is all good, 10 not so much... Again, this just checks server performance only! /lag - Check current lag /mem - Check current available memory /lagmem - All of the above DynMap: See the full post for more details and discussion. mcmap.gcftw.com mcmap.gamerscoalition.com PlayTime: /playtime (player) - Provide no player to check yourself, provide one to check that player. /totalplaytime (playtime) - Provide no player to check yourself, provide one to check that player. MOTD: Yes, the usual join message but also... /who - who's on the server. /vtime - vtime is a time vote system. Everyone can start a vote to change the time. You can vote for dawn, day, evening and night. To vote for a time change just use the argument yes. If not at least half of the online players voted yes within 60 seconds, the vote expires. /rtp - rtp creates a teleport request to another player. The other player has to type in /rtp yes to teleport the player. There can only be one request to one player at a time. GiftSend: Works if the payer is online or off. Takes stuff from you and gives it them. If you do not specify an item it will give whatever it is you are holding. Distance limit if online is 1000. 1000 blocks? I have no idea. LINKfor more info. Both commands are identical - use either one. /send (item name or ID) (damage or color ID) /gift (item name or ID) (damage or color ID) Tombstone: You die, your stuff is jacked into a chest and a sign is placed stating who died, how they died, etc. If the player is carrying a chest when they die, place that chest and fill it with as much of their inventory as possible If the player is allowed, and is carrying two chests, a large chest will spawn to catch all of their inventory Any items that won't fit in the chest will still drop to the ground! Quickloot support, right click the sign on a tombstone to loot all items in it (Your tombstone only!) Place a sign on top of the chest with a configurable template Tombstones last for five hours. /tomblist - List all your tombstones /tombfind - Gives you a direction from your current location to your tombstone. BackToBody: Yeah, yeah... You don't actually want to walk back to your corpse do you? /btb Craftipedia: Don't remember a recipe? No problem... /recipe EX: /recipe cake Healing Totem: Create totem poles that heal you and damage monsters. Evil totems do the opposite. Various power options, can add a switch, etc... Go here for the default recipes: LINK All the defaults are single column stacks. PigGrinder: Listed as a bucket. Equip it and appy to pigs for porkchops. If the pig is on fire, the pork chops are cooked. Apply multiple times. Too many times and ??? Simple Chest Lock: For the full information go HERE. Simply slap a chest with a stick, and it's locked. Only you can access it. Slap it with a stick again, and it'll be open for everyone. Doors, trap doors, levers, buttons and pressure plates supported but read the link above for the details/bugs. Locking a chest with another beside it locks both at the same time. Trying to open a locked chest will give you a message that it is locked (tells/warns people but also so you don't have to smack your chests constantly to find out if they are locked or not) Combination locks supported! Combos are made of wool. To use them, set the first three items in your hotbar as wool. The combination is the colors of the wool. Use a bone (by default) to lock with that combination. Opening something you locked with a combination will show you the combo. To open something someone else locked with a combination you have to have three pieces of wool in the beginning of your hotbar. If you do, you're granted access as if you owned it, with no restrictions. If the combination is wrong, you'll be notified.
  19. What a mess. The plugin? Some other plugin we are running? This is just as bad as when a bad bukkit server runtime somehow reported to windows as insufficient permissions to connect - this was IIS stuff - and that was just fun running around trying to track down before I gave up and reverted and bam - there it is. So the "challenged" version of permissions is running. Visitor: All new joins. They can walk around and they can chat. When they chime in, engage them and then promote them to... Ok: No chat prefix. Can do whatever they want. GC: Nothing really other than the GC tag for chat. Ops is still separate so if you have it you have it. I have to manually bump people here. Just let me know. ICEKING: That's me. Because I can. I still need to add permissions access to a bunch of plugins - please list those that do not work for you here. GoHome is borked until the author gets it up to date. We are on the latest CB now (1060). For those of you GC to promote or demote: /pex promote username /pex demote username This bumps up or down the hierarchy. You cannot bump up to your own level though (hence why I have to edit those up to GC) Sorry this is a pain in the posterior. The poll for 1.8 is 10 nil right now for new world. We *will* have working permissions out of the box I guarantee you that.
  20. Just wondering. I can't seem to log onto our server. I keep getting a Response Code 503 www.minecraft.net/game/joinserver.jsp blah blah after that it runs off the screen Did I do something??
  21. Joining the server while I am working on permissions will result in: Hilarity You losing stuff Since no one has been added in yet by name you enter as the default group, which has zilch for permissions. Meaning all your stuff are belong to me and they disappear from you. You've been warned!!! I'll post up when everything is ready. Also, we are on 1060 now so GoHome is broke until the kid who made it patches it up.
  22. Hey Flitter, I'm going to need you to send this guy some stuff when you get a chance. These people came in and as soon as someone said something suspicious I started watching them and sure enough they were griefing this guy named Ryumanymana. They took down some part of his house and crops. I banned them as soon as I saw something after I tp'ed to them. I do have a list if you would be as so kind to give Ryu back his stuff. 10 diamonds 1 lapis block 1 diamond block 2 gold blocks 2 stacks of redstone one stack of seeds 2 glowstones and 3 pistons I copied his every word, he was very honest, I could tell. Thank you!
