After many many complaints on too long of a buy time, it has been changed to 4 seconds during the day, and 5 at night/afternoon for both Immut and Discharge. Now I live in Ohio which should give me a regularly high ping, however whenever I go to Immutable I still get something around 70 and I was getting 120-130 last night. Statistics may prove me wrong, but this is my guess... which is as good as fact. 2) Full stock map rotation... minus the duds. The current rotation seems a big... anemic. I would omit Compound. 3) If custom maps are put on rotation, I would nominate the usual CPL_Fire and LostTemple, but I would also include DE_AliveMetal simply because that map is greatn3ss. Currently, there are 10 maps in the primetime rotation, while daytime is fairly "anemic" . I just added 2 maps to prime, briging it to 10, and 1 to daytime. More will slowly be introduced. Tristan June 7, 2006 Share Tristan Member June 7, 2006 Deciding to play Discharge during the day is a very big mistake. You would not recognize it as a GC server. Day time admins are at an all-time low. Or they are on other servers. Trying to keep the peace means TKs and more rule deprivation. There is cussing, mic spamming, porn spraying. Basically everything GC is against. It still is not as popular as the other servers, but can definately grow in numbers around 18:00 - 22:00 PST. witt June 7, 2006 Share witt Member June 7, 2006 My advice, Jester, is to ask someone politely to stop doing what they;re doing or to change their name. If they ignore me, I ask once more. If they fail to comply after a second request, or have at any point replied with some smart remark (that I'm sure they think is extremely clever), I simply pull their steam id by typins 'status' in console, then copying the list of steam ids. If they leave too fast, and you really think it's worth the trouble, search for their name in the stats and get it that way. Once you have it, post the id in the appropriate ban request thread. Two things you shouldn't do: 1. Argue with them. It will only exacerbate the situation. 2. Threaten them with a ban. I never do this, because if you do and they call your bluff, it shows everyone that no authority is present on the server. Anyway, just post the ban request and let them come explain why they ignored you, or decided to have a laugh at your expense, or how their dog was actually playing while they made a sandwich.
