anonymo September 22, 2007 Share anonymo Member September 22, 2007 Oh no w8 that's horrible! I can't stand dog owners who can't control their animals and/or abuse them. Make sure that dog gets put down.
Ringadon September 22, 2007 Share Ringadon Member September 22, 2007 *serious *It's reasons like these that delivery persons are needing more and more to carry pepper spray. It really hurts the dogs that need to be hurt so they don't do any more hurting. *end serious begin silly * You should buy some. In fact buy a lot, it works on your enemies too. *end post *

So you have to be very careful not to be too confident about the use of it. Edited September 22, 2007 by Xoul

I would definitely talk to a lawyer, if for nothing else but to maybe(not likely) scare some responsibility into the owners.
JordanRinke September 22, 2007 Share JordanRinke Member September 22, 2007 Carry a gun, I don't know any dogs that are immune to bullets, and if you have to use it... it will solve the repeat problem all together.
anonymo September 22, 2007 Share anonymo Member September 22, 2007 I hate to see this stuff happen as it's always the owner's fault and never the dogs...but we don't put the owners down do we? I hope you get it all sorted out W8 and I also hope your hand is ok and back to working order soon!

Peckles September 22, 2007 Share Peckles Member September 22, 2007 I've actually punched a dog in the face because it lunged at me. It was either that or get bitten. The owner was horrified, but I acted in self-defense, and I told him so, using some language inappropriate to this forum, along with telling him where he can put a bunch of stuff. My message to dogs: CAGE YOUR RAGE!!!
Ringadon September 22, 2007 Share Ringadon Member September 22, 2007 I greatly appreciate the gravity of this situation. I was hurt very badly by a dog when I was 4 and ever since I've had a Cynophobia.
dragonfly September 22, 2007 Share dragonfly Member September 22, 2007 Dude, that really sucks. And yeah, make sure it gets put down. My dad's a bush-worker (chainsaw and the like, so he's a strong guy) anyway... A dog we were "dogsitting" a german shepherd/collie mix(ish) and it went to bite him once when he had to take away its food. So he picked it up by the throat right off the groud so that it was eye-level with him with his left hand, cocked his right hand into a fist and said to the dog, "I dare you...". Dog never gave him trouble ever again. It was quite the sight. Get some bear spray - that'll fix a dog.

ShadowDog September 22, 2007 Share ShadowDog Member September 22, 2007 OKAY.. this is ridiculous, don't spend money on some bear spray or something like that, go to your garage, get out a nice baseball bat, and hit a homer.

*BiGBonES** September 22, 2007 Share *BiGBonES** Member September 22, 2007 i got a brand new football when i was 10 years old, took it down to the park, then some dog came along, bit the ball and ran off with it. I cried and the owner did nothing! i'd call the police, you got assaulted by a dangerous animal.
