boiler October 3, 2007 Share boiler Member October 3, 2007 Mazda RX-7, early-mid '90s model I believe. Looks like that engine compartment needs a little TLC, so dirty! I know, I'm a bit anal about cleaning my car.
alvin October 4, 2007 Author Share alvin Member October 4, 2007 It's cool. I'm pulling the engine to port it and sending the frame in for some cleaning and possibly repaint.. Also going to lower tint. Lots of projects planned
shaftiel October 4, 2007 Share shaftiel Member October 4, 2007 Very nice! Congrats! I'd post pictures of my ride... but not everyone is so impressed by minivans heh . Shaftiel <------ 3 kids, wife, 2 dogs.... minivan for the win.
Xterminator October 5, 2007 Share Xterminator Member October 5, 2007 *points at shaft* sucks to be that guy.... nice car though dude. I'm still drivin a 92 paseo but it gets me around. That thing has gone through 3 drivers before me who've driven it hard. It's kinda like a timex watch....takes a lickin but keeps on tickin. dwEEziL March 13, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member March 13, 2008 IIRC, this generation of the RX-7 wasn't using the Wankle (Rotary) engine yet (I've been known to be wrong before though). A buddy of mine had a '93 RX-7 (the gen3 body style, the one above is gen2) with a double rotor. It was a sweet ride until an off-duty copy wasn't paying attention and t-boned him. shoot March 13, 2008 Share shoot Member March 13, 2008 (edited) I think all RX-7 from Gen 1 to the last had rotary engines. Edited March 13, 2008 by shoot
dwEEziL March 13, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member March 13, 2008 Just looked it up and yes you're right. I also misspelled the engine maker's name...it's Wankel.

shoot March 13, 2008 Share shoot Member March 13, 2008 Just looked it up and yes you're right. I also misspelled the engine maker's name...it's Wankel. The misspelled word Wankel (wankle) sound like it could be a musical instrument. Can't imagine what kind a sound it would make, though. dwEEziL March 13, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member March 13, 2008 It would probably go along with the presentation of one's "Oh" face.
