Mail.App 3.0 problem

ZeroDamage

Recommended Posts

So I decided today to download my emails via POP3 from Gmail to Leopard's Mail.App 3.0. Every single email shows a receive date and time of today. Nevermind that Maill.App shows the correct date and Time if I use IMAP and shows the correct date and times within Gmail itself. So now I am curious if anyone knows a fix for this. I am looking now but hoping someone already knows and can save me some time.

why does it not work in Mail.App. I am using an Apple machine and I want the one friggin Apple email application to conform to the standards and actually f'n work like it is supposed to. What in the hell is with Apple and they making this application the most dumb application they have. Supposedly has Exchange support but not really. It cannot do something as simple as get the correct receive time?

are you asking a question or making a statement? regardless, i'd love to help you, but i use imap. which works. well.

why are you bent on using pop (especially when imap works)?

POP3 is for nubs

Pop3 is a great way to back up your email to your local machine. Unless of course you trust the server your email is on 100% and believe that they are always doing updates.
