Shropshire Slasher January 16, 2009 Share Shropshire Slasher Member January 16, 2009 My dad passed at 1:43 this morning. He was 67. Today was his birthday. He suffered for years with cryptogenic cirrhosis. New Year's day, experienced severe bleeding into his esophagus. The bleeding was an indirect consequence to his degraded liver function. They were able to stabilize him at that time, and transfer him with University Hospital at the University of Michigan. He remained in unconscious and in the Critical Care Unit there until his death.
