Updated FFO 2009 Information!

Recently the question was posed among the aging, cranky founders: Is it time to hang it up or what?

 

The answer? No, but we need to change some things to preserve what is really important to us. The bottom line is the fact that it's not the swag....it's not the games....is not the bigger numbers or more prizes or making a statement in the gaming word...it's about getting back with friends that we've come to know for year....and also meeting new faces of people who have found their place in our community.

 

We don't want to give that up, and we won't. But, we're making some serious adjustments, including a seat limit that is being imposed immediately because the contracted meeting room space has been reduced once again.

 

Why? We gotta hit a budget. When we tossed ourselves into the ballroom a few years back we were still growing. People were still jumping head first into trash cans, etc. However, we've now got to scale back. We're keeping the social events intact, like golf, poker, gaming, etc...and worrying less about swag and prizes etc. If you were planning on coming to win a mousepad and take home a pen, you're gonna have to find another event.

 

There's a lot of names on the past lists that I look forward to seeing! Please don't delay in reserving your seat!

 

Fast Facts:

-There are only 40 seats available due to the space we're renting.

-You already missed the $50 / seat window. All seats are now $60. We have to make the budget.

-If you are a staff member and haven't paid yet....uh....well, the most important staff member will now be Duke...he's gonna organize the food runs...beyond that, all staff, including me, is fired. Duke already paid, so the food is secure.

--T-Shirts will be an option and sold separately and not included in the entry fee. Estimates are around 15.00 each and once again this is due to the budget.

 

 

Registeration Information:

Reservations must be made by using paypal. Send $60 to reservations @ fragfestohio.com.

Please include your home city, shirt size if you want one (exclusion of size means you do not want a shirt), and how many years you've attended prior to 2009.

Hotel Information Update since I sent email out:

They will need to call the hotel directly to make their reservations now. Choice hotels do not have the option to do a link right now. They can call toll free at 888-403-0031 or 330-653-9191 and tell the front desk they need to make a reservation for Fragfest Ohio in July.

Here is the schedule starting tomorrow:

 

Wednesday 7/14

Customary Cookout / Trailer Loading Party where everyone samples Fatty's Sausage

This starts when the first person arrives....5 or 6 pm?

 

Thursday 7/15

Golf starting at 10 AM at Brandywine Golf Club in Peninsula

 

Setup following golf. I'll need the veterans to help me make some decisions about the room we're using.

 

Thursday night generally turns into open gaming for anyone that's already there.

 

Friday we'll open the doors at about 9 AM to invite everyone else in to set up!

 

Sunday - Get out of there by like 10 AM.

 

Last minute notes:

- You should receive 2 free breakfasts coupons per room, per night at the hotel. If you don't, remind them that you're with FFO. The price should be 79.00 / night.
