JackieChan March 6, 2009 Share JackieChan GC Alumni March 6, 2009 This would be awesome. I wouldn't be able to bring mine either.
Fatty March 6, 2009 Share Fatty GC Founder March 6, 2009 That company is gone, and there's no other option around here. However, there's always people willing to let you use their computers, as at any given time people are doing other things. Just bring your configs. Then again, when is FragFest just only about the gaming?
samurai nightling March 6, 2009 Share samurai nightling Member March 6, 2009 People could bring their laptops along with their desktops. Loan out a laptop to a friend
Clueless March 7, 2009 Share Clueless GC Alumni March 7, 2009 Thats too bad about the rental dudes being gone, I would have definitely rented as well. Heres a thought though, who's to say that we have to play all PC games? Xbox360 or PS3 is a much smaller thing to pack and bring, and very easy to rent. We could possibly try to get something together as far as group rentals or something. We could even rent small flat screen TV's from Rent a Center or Aarons...or any of those places. I guess the real question is...how many people would be into that and how easy is it to network those things and play games together as a group? Other option would be for us to Fed Ex our PC's...which I may do if I end up flying instead of driving.
EbilDustBunny March 7, 2009 Author Share EbilDustBunny GC Alumni March 7, 2009 That's too bad that was such a nifty service they offered. Consoles are a bad idea either.
Clueless March 9, 2009 Share Clueless GC Alumni March 9, 2009 We just decided that we are saving some bucks and driving...so I will be bringing my PC this year.
anonymo March 9, 2009 Share anonymo Member March 9, 2009 You can network two 360's together really easily, more (up to 4) with a router. That's 16 players at max, which most games don't go over anyways. As long as people have VGA cables they can be connected to the projectors. Bubblegum Bandit March 11, 2009 Share Bubblegum Bandit Member March 11, 2009 NPI ( http://www.npavi.com ) has typically provided whatever we requested by way of TVs, projectors, screens, etc. Haven't heard for sure, but assuming they are back in again I don't think it would be a problem to get whatever is needed set up. ilovetomatoes March 27, 2009 Share ilovetomatoes Member March 27, 2009 I may have an extra computer to bring along, I just have to get it running windows again. Not promising anything, and if it does make it is a few years old, so CS:S will be fine, CRYSIS, not so much.
