akaM2 August 9, 2010 Share akaM2 Member August 9, 2010 (edited) Some kids found it funny to tag about 15 cars on my street last night. This blows Edited August 9, 2010 by akaM2

VooDooPC August 10, 2010 Share VooDooPC Member August 10, 2010 That really sucks. If its only on the windows you won't have to get a new paint job or risk ruining your paint job getting it off though.
boiler August 10, 2010 Share boiler Member August 10, 2010 Sorry to see that! This has reaffirmed my belief that garages are best served storing cars at night and not piles of crap.

samurai nightling August 10, 2010 Share samurai nightling Member August 10, 2010 Yeah that blows, and on a brand new car too. Thats why i like having my garage right now, i know there's a few menacing teenagers down the street from me.
JackieChan August 10, 2010 Share JackieChan GC Alumni August 10, 2010 (Couldn't resist my earlier post) Shame you can't count on the police to sort it out at all. Messing with a car deserves a swift punch to the family jewels. I'm always paranoid about leaving anything I own out in public.
Unclean August 10, 2010 Share Unclean Member August 10, 2010 Ugh. What a pain. So that's spraypaint, not the washable stuff? And it looks like it's mostly on the glass (maybe some on the chrome). So you might get away with just scraping it off with a razor blade. Were the police notified too?
san` August 10, 2010 Share san` GC Alumni August 10, 2010 When my brother lived in LA his car would get spray painted a lot. There was something that was just around the house that would take the spray paint off glass and paint without damaging the car. I just texted him to ask what it was, will post back when I know. boiler August 11, 2010 Share boiler Member August 11, 2010 If that happened to me, I would make a point to do all of my front yard work while open carrying my .45. Those thugs might realize that messing with someone else would be in their best interests. (plz 2 note I am not saying I'd shoot a thug over tagging my car, but that s*** sure as hell wouldn't be escalating.)

boiler August 11, 2010 Share boiler Member August 11, 2010 Vandals are cowards and look for soft or easy targets. I don't intend to be either! If they think someone might be willing to put up a struggle, they will move on to the next house. Similar principle to motion sensor exterior lights, having a big dog that barks at outside noises, etc. Tagged cars today could turn into objects thrown through windows next week if left unchecked (which could start to pose a threat to my family, not just property). I'd rather be proactive and be prepared. Wow, this thread has a major srsbizness to it now... My bad.

TheFirstMonk August 12, 2010 Share TheFirstMonk Member August 12, 2010 http://hotair.com/archives/2007/02/06/video-rudy-combats-graffiti-artists/ I remember watching this skit when I was a teenager, and it reminds me of your situation. (I've never been to this hotair site before; I just googled the video, and this is the only one that has it)
