Unclean February 26, 2011 Share Unclean Member February 26, 2011 I picked up the game on a whim - I enjoy grouping with other people, and that's getting harder and harder to do in Aion. Plan on making a rogue class, haven't had one of those since AoC. Warrior classes have always been "meh" to me, and mage classes were always my go-to (Elementalists in GW, Warlock in WoW, Sorcs in WaR, Aion... etc). The client is downloading now, hopefully the name "Unclean" isn't taken. If it is, then I'll choose my alt name, Impuro. See ya on there, Jinx! It'd be cool to see some of the other GC people in there too, like Lousiest, Shaft, Sedah, Dragonfire, 3vil...
Unclean February 28, 2011 Share Unclean Member February 28, 2011 I was able to create a character on Briarcliff, but there have been 3+ hour queues to get on ever since. Sadface. Is Deepstrike the same way? Why were those particular servers chosen? In the meantime, I created a cleric on Dayblind (another PvP server), and it's been a blast! This game has a few huge plusses over other recent MMO's I've played: (Aion, Age of Conan, Warhammer, etc): 1. Fast battlefields! These weren't in Aion except for end-game instances, and that's one every 4 hours (lockout timers). I don't remember ever seeing these in AoC, but they're very much like Warhammer. 2. Easy respecs - there's no "buyer's remorse" with your class. Don't like something? Just switch out one of your skill trees. 3. Music - some of it feels epic, from towns to battles 4. Rift events - it's like a localized instance that you're part of no matter what. You can participate if you want, and hop in and out at any time. Unclean March 31, 2011 Share Unclean Member March 31, 2011 Still playing, although I rerolled on Kaleida. My 47 rogue is named "Unclean". You guys can try the game out for free this weekend by using the code emailed to me: CR7N-TDHY-H7RT-RXME-WJDR The OP classes right now are in this order: cleric, mage, warrior, rogue. Mages just got a huuuge buff, warriors were nerfed slightly, and rogues are having the hardest time killing things right now. Clerics are almost impossible to kill, and they can have viable DPS specs. So try it out! It's a fun game.
Shazz March 31, 2011 Share Shazz Member March 31, 2011 With the code...do you still have to pay for the game? Or is it free, then pay to play?
Unclean April 1, 2011 Share Unclean Member April 1, 2011 You can try it free during the weekend, then you'd have to buy + pay the subscription for it.
