samurai nightling February 23, 2011 Share samurai nightling Member February 23, 2011 If that was gameplay footage, HOLY $&^@! Those graphics were amazingly real! Better than any other game like it out there yet.

Allanon February 27, 2011 Share Allanon Member February 27, 2011 Man it looks really good, but I'm gonna wait to see how it plays/is different from bf2 before I put my wallet on the table for a new computer.
JackieChan October 3, 2011 Share JackieChan GC Alumni October 3, 2011 With the open beta now out...Origin is the reason NOT to get this game. -Download a ~70 meg SteamOrigin client -Download BF3 open beta -Launch game only for it to open your web browser -Download browser plugin for Origin -Launch game again. Browser opens again. -Press launch game only for Origin to tell me my video drivers aren't quite up to date. (11.5. Needs 11.7) -Launch game again. -Click quick match through browser -Click connect -Game launches right into a server so that's the only time you can change your settings while you're getting shot at. -Try to rebind keys only to notice mouse buttons aren't detected by the game. -Uninstall and settle for worse controls/graphics on the PS3. EA really dropped the ball with Origin and BF3...what's wrong with Steam? The peace of mind? The convenience? People who actually use it? Come on, EA... onyxdragoon October 3, 2011 Share onyxdragoon Member October 3, 2011 I believe EA and Valve had a dispute over how Valve handles DLC. That's why EA removed all it's games from Steam. Gabe is trying to make peace but it is pretty useless. BF3 is fun but the way it is handled is quite dumb.

crunchyorphan October 9, 2011 Share crunchyorphan Member October 9, 2011 (edited) No BF3 on steam would make me a sad panda. What the heck is origin? I can only have so many game clients on my computer! But how awesome is that caspian map? Edited October 9, 2011 by crunchyorphan

But how awesome is that caspian map? Origin is EA "answer" to Steam. You need it to play Bf3 on the PC, also need a browser plugin to play on any server, also need an EA account to play it all on Origin.
