VooDooPC May 6, 2013 Author Share VooDooPC Member May 6, 2013 I went from the GTX 470 to GTX 680 as well. SOOO much quieter + more energy efficient. However, if you still have that 480, an after market cooler makes it significantly cooler and quieter. I stuck this on mine and put it in my gf's computer. Pretty worth it. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16835426026 Thanks for the link. Putting a new cooler on it was exactly what I was considering. I wanted to put the GTX480 in a PC and use it has a permanent PC for next to my TV. The 480GTX is still a pretty good card but being as loud as it was I didn't want to use it, so I considered a cooler. Since you already did the research of finding a cooler I'm just going to buy that one, thanks!
Barashin May 8, 2013 Share Barashin Member May 8, 2013 Yup! The installation guide that comes with it is terrible. Here's a great video I used to figure out how to put it on. If you have any questions, let me know.
