That's the plan-ish, but to give you an idea the point system is about 9000 lines in one file. My plan is to explode it into a logical file structure and use include defines to be able to strip out certain things for testing. Also note this language is not object oriented and makes me want to jump off a roof

Lol - you kids today. Don't know how good you got it. Congrats, crash - you just triggered my "GET OFF MAH LAWN" brain button.

This from the guy who ported Donkey Kong to the Atari 8-bit home computer:

Here's Miyamoto (of Nintendo fame) in a children's book from the 80's about making video games. Note the cigarette he's holding, cause the 80's ruled like that:

This is how we rolled back in the day, kid. Object-Oriented wasn't a thing, and was reserved for true nerds like VAXen or PDPs:

Here's the website of an Engineer who worked at Atari. He has a bunch of detail about the computer setup and game development and also a full upload of all his emails and memos from 1982 to 1992.

There was a C compiler for Atari. It compiled code to an 8086 virtual machine and ran like a steaming pile of dung. If you want to know how good you got it today, "Racing the Beam" is an excellent read.

Here's how games were written on a Motorola 68k:

Here's some NES 6502 Assembly:

http://tcrf.net/Dragon%27s_Lair_%28NES%29

This is what we typed by hand. Uphill. Both ways. In the snow. Barefoot. And we liked it. WE LOVED IT.

So in short what I'm saying is, "Quit yer cryin, suck it up and get that code done." ;P

Oh man, I leave you guys for 9 months and you break things - JUST to fix it right on my arrival back?

You shouldn't have.

/s

But really, apparently the server exploded and you guys fixed it proper - thanks for the hard work and code sifting!

just skipped the finale of dead center and used the !gotonc command once it counted down it kicked everyone off the server... everyone was able to reconnect and it was on the desired map... not sure if it was because of the command.. also I think that two admins used the !gotonc command at the same time... just want to let you know crashx
