Mercman November 22, 2013 Share Mercman November 22, 2013 Hunger Games is remake of this movie Battle Royal (2000) A Japanese movie Which i thought was much better then "The Hunger Games" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266308/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Madvillain November 22, 2013 Share Madvillain November 22, 2013 Merc is right Battle Royal is good, it was (it may still be, I watched it ~6 months ago) available on Netflix streaming if anyone was looking to check it out.
Fenix November 23, 2013 Author Share Fenix November 23, 2013 Why does everyone have to accuse Hunger Games of stealing the Battle Royal storyline? The basic premise of the book has existed in all sorts of movies and books...Battle Royal was not the first and Hunger Games is not a remake. JackieChan November 23, 2013 Share JackieChan November 23, 2013 Hunger Games is remake of this movie Battle Royal (2000) A Japanese movie Which i thought was much better then "The Hunger Games" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266308/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 Anything is better than The Hunger Games. On that note, I want to watch Battle Royale again.
Bot November 23, 2013 Share Bot November 23, 2013 I was disappointed with the lack of violence in the Hunger Games. Battle Royale got it right.
HellsBells November 23, 2013 Share HellsBells November 23, 2013 Instead of just watch "Battle Royale", you guys should also read either the novel or the manga (both came before the movie) , which are wayyyyyy more bloody and brutal.Don't like "Hunger Games" either, disappointment is correct. VooDooPC November 23, 2013 Share VooDooPC November 23, 2013 Battle Royal and Hunger Games give me a Lord of the Flies vibe for some reason. It's not exactly the same in the sense that it's not organize "Kill everyone and go home" kind of thing but the premise of taking children/young adults and watch them try to survive is there. walkingCat November 23, 2013 Share walkingCat November 23, 2013 (The Running Man" + "Battle Royal") - (poor adaptation + censorship) = "Hunger games" Despite that, I want to see it. Not sure if it's worth it to be seen in theater.
MattKemp November 24, 2013 Share MattKemp November 24, 2013 I personally feel The Condemned was better than The Hunger Games...but yeah...lol
Madvillain November 24, 2013 Share Madvillain November 24, 2013 Matt Kemp is alive?! 0.0 Hope life is going well. The Hunger Games is not horrible but I think it isn't living up to its potential.

samurai nightling December 21, 2013 Share samurai nightling December 21, 2013 I love Battle Royale. Watched in on Netflix a few weeks ago, I don't like having to read subtitles, but overall for when it was made, pretty cool.
