The very next moment a firm and rough grip had tangled knight's both legs. All the knight could have done is to take a half a breath before getting pulled under water. There, through the muddy waters he spotted It. Ten feet long, scaly and slimy. A creature of 6 yellow cat eyes. With sharp fins and long teeth, the creature held the knight with its long and muscular tail.

As the knight turns toward the creature, he remembers his recurring childhood nightmare, because he sees it there, in the flesh. Beginning to feel dizzy he realizes that the lack of air is making him see and hear things, but acting on instinct he pulls his dagger and slashes until finally he kicks free .

The last drop of strength just left the knight. His left leg went numb after encountering water monster. Right shoulder was bleeding from unnoticed wound, and God knows when this occurred. Nevertheless, the knight tried to rise but failed to even lift his head of the green grass. All over sudden, he felt someone's hands. Strong and sure arms began to pull him in to the nearest woods. A glimpse of knight's side vision revealed a bearded man in a green and brown clothes. The knight gave himself up into the hands of the stranger, for he appeared to be friendlier than fast approaching men in arms from the castle.

Arrows rained down at the approaching knights peppering the ground before them. The quickly retreated back towards safety. The knight surveyed his position finding his oldest friend, a ranger named Randolph with a grin and a ready bandage.

"Come my friend, we must make way to Bridgewater for we must warn our lord" said Randolph. "We don't have much time. We must go through the Forest of the Fallen Giants." They ride through the night and by the brink of dawn, they finally reach the forest. "We must be cautious. There are evil lies ahead." Randolph sends his eagle ahead to scout the area. As they enter the forest, the Knight feels a presence around him as if hundreds of eye piercing through his body

As they ride deeper and deeper into the forest they become more nervous of their surroundings. Randolph and the Knight continue forward when all of a sudden the forest becomes dead silent, not a single chirp from a bird or any other wildlife within earshot. The horses stop and become restless. While the Knight tries to calm down his steed an arrow flies by his head just barely missing him.

The forest erupts around them, vines moving faster than there eyes can track engulf not only the men, but the horses as well. They are left suspended and completely immobile. No one can speak or move, only their eyes are able to function.
