whitegreyhat January 26, 2016 Share whitegreyhat Member January 26, 2016 (edited) Apparently I don't know how to post correctly. Anyway I have this Samsung drive from a laptop a while ago. It looks like some sort of recovery drive. I tried all the recovery options in Windows 10 to no avail. Tried to boot as USB, no windows files. Any suggestions or does it look familiar to anyone? Theres probably not much that valuable maybe vacation pictures, otherwise I do need a backup drive for this laptop. Thanks in advance help.rtf Edited January 26, 2016 by whitegreyhat
crasx January 27, 2016 Share crasx GC Alumni January 27, 2016 That 463gb partition is where your files are... the partition header got deleted so you would need to recreate it to access files. Probably what happened is windows decided to use it as a boot disk and overwrote the MBR. Someone on a forum mentioned trying this : https://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm
onyxdragoon January 27, 2016 Share onyxdragoon Member January 27, 2016 You can use testdisk to make partitions "revert" back. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk
