  1. Thanks for the reply.

Well, I don't know. There is a tradeoff. GC has always come off to be as being pure from the standpoint of creating rules, sticking to them, encouraging people to respect eachother. This just seems... shady/deceptive. It just kind of astonished me (I guess is what you call it) (I wasn't expecting it). Anyways, I have voiced my concerns. I hope it helps.

  2. Have we really sunk so low as to have to put bots in spectator mode just to trick people into joining the servers? What gives? I expect that type of behaviour from people who try to con me into buying their products by trying to artifically make them look good, not GC.

This post might sound a little harsh, but I am not wanting one of my favourite CS communities to sink to that level.

Please tell me that I have it all wrong.

  3. Thats not true. Take Sociology 101. People respond to words positivily and negatively. Also, you know which words are bad or not, and if the server filter trips or an admin warns you then likely those words are bad too.

  4. I dunno what to say, but I pitched in for the CsLs server so that we would have a place to play where we could set the maps, rules, etc. We also play on GC's servers. I think you misunderstand Zero's intent. We were just wanting to do something fun. We weren't wanting to harm GC in any way...

  5. I used to think you could only defuse when you had a kit. I took a lot of stick back in the day when I killed the last T then danced around the bomb with plenty of time left shouting out "I havent got a kit"

    Welcome to the servers  :boing:

ROFL. I bet the people were screaming at their monitors while you did that. I can just picture it :D

  6. After several days of seeing people violate the rules with no admins present I would like to start being able to provide logs to help the admins out when nobody is present to deal with the problems (I usually play late at night or early in the morning when people are either getting off or starting up).

How do I enable logging for my console data?

  7. I used to be staff at Lanwar and MML. They are fun events, but they are too much to handle. Most of the problems were from the sponsors and not the attendees. (ie. the near fist fight between AMD review folks and THG). We had about 15 staff members for the 1,000 person event (MML).

I am not sure how big fragfest ohio is, but it might be something I might look into. Sometimes lan parties just get too big. A mid-size one might be kind of nice.

(I play on the GC midwest server)

PS- I am in the big pic that fatty posted..... Where's Waldo?
