I'm normally good for a 10% tip on buffets... You eat for free at least drop a buck on the table.

Oh and i know some people are cheap .... But you still do have to tip for buffets. Granted it didn't give the waiter we had the last morning the right to say anything, when i was leaving. I even asked for my buck back, i didn't take it back, but still got to me alittle bit.
I got 2 tickets per night this year, took alittle smoozing and filtering with the front desk gal. I even offered rashad as payment but she didn't accept.
That is where I disagree. It all depends on the service and type of buffet.
I didn’t eat the breakfast buffet at FF this year. Primarily because I can’t stand breakfast foods not strait off the griddle. I consider myself a very generous tipper but find myself very stingy at buffets because it seems the wait staffs tend to slack even more at a buffet.
Type A: where they bring your drink
They have one job to do at a buffet like this and that is to refill my drink. If they can’t handle filling up my drink two times in a timely fashion then they don’t deserve a tip. It takes less then a minute of overall service to refill my drink or bring me a new one for the entire time I am there. Maybe 2 minutes if this place they have to bring me my check. Now not having to take orders or serve food means they can wait at least 4x the people as a normal restaurant. So that means ¼ the tip! So 20 dollar buffet 20%tip/4 = 1 dollar. If they can’t handle the hard job of refilling my drink I feel no remorse to not leaving a tip.
Type B: You get your own beverage
If you have to fill it up at a drink bar all they do is clean your empty plates. That makes them a bus boy not a waiter. That means zero tip unless they are hot. Then they get a 5 with my number on it.
Type C: big groups
If you go in a big group you should always tip a little more. Most of the time they have to push tables together and cleaning up takes a bit longer because everyone leaves at the same time making it harder to pick up random tables while refilling drinks.
Side note: I don’t feel too bad for waiters
Don’t feel bad about not leaving a tip because come tax time it will show you didn’t leave one anyway.
Side note 2: My favorite thing to say to a waiter.
When they ask you how everything is after you get your food say, “It is affecting your tip.� Then try not to laugh at the reaction.
Also not sure what that waiter said to you but I would have went off on him had he said anything to me.

I say she moves in where her stuff is. I mean her stuff is there so it does not have a chance of getting dropped by some drunk guy moving her. Her boyfriend lives there so she hardly has to go anywhere for a booty call. When they fight I am sure she has the power to make him sleep out on the couch. Unless she was moving back cause the broke up. Then I think you should get them back together or get him pegant and tell her she can't leave him like that.

Sure, why not? What is the worst is that going to happen? Let's see some lame people get married and now they can adopt unwanted children easier because those people didn't want to sin and wear a condom. So now these unwanted children now have a good home only with 2 moms or dads. On the plus side homophobic joe who has never seen a lame person in his life but hates this so much would be fun to watch comment on CNN.
On the other hand if gays were able to marry then society might look down more upon mass orgies. So if we allowed them to get married we might not as easily be able to find a huge lesbian orgy to sneak a video camera into.

I love how Laura Bush is saying lame marriage shouldn’t be used as a campaign tool. I bet this is going to be one of the best ways to pull out the “ “ to get a vote. I am sure it will be done too. I think she is more afraid that a campaign that shows support for lame marriage will pull out more of the non/swing voters. Ah whatever back to American Idol. (note I don’t watch that crap, the only reality crap I watch is Iron Chef)

For all those other radicals, I would have loved them to try a protest in a socialist country. Let’s see huge march against the socialist government and huge march after to clean up all the dead bodies. I did rant more but after looking at how much I wrote but I decided it was a bit too much to post.

For a great vodka...tasting, that is...try Vox and Grey Goose. Good flavor, good straight, good cold.
I really like Skyy vodka. Even if it is cheaper it still seems smother to me then some of the more expensive vodka's.
Alcohol is one of the most foul substances known to man. Were it not for the fact that it got you drunk, I'd never even touch the stuff smile3.gif. I can't drink any liquors straight. I guess I don't have that aquired taste yet. They're all like rubbing alcohol to me lol.I will agree that Mohawk is the foulest stuff on the face of this earth.
It has been a while since I have had vodka and squirt. I have only known of one person to recommends this concoction. I wouldn’t say that it kills the taste but I will agree that it lead to an interesting winter carnival. I am glad that unlike my other friend you didn't recommend Mohawk blue label with it.

Sounds like you're living proof that the system can work even with how much it sucks now. Can you say that the process wasen't worth the reward though? On a side note yes Europe sucks. Also, it took me longer then 9 months to get into [DOH]!

Lots of fake SSN's. Emergency room visits that they do not have to pay. Ambulance rides that they do not have to pay. They have children born here that are automatically considered citizens and the welfare kicks in. Who do you think pays for this stuff? We do (if you work and pay taxes).
And how many states have given ILLEGAL aliens free education or in state tuition over US Citizens?
When I mentioned education I was thinking more of the lines of public education k-12 that is easy to receive. I don’t doubt that this would happen at the higher education levels but didn’t seem like it was one of the major concerns.

and others are just down right lowlifes that should not be in this country because all they are is trouble and when picked up by police they should be deported not put back out into the streets that is the main issue they don't get deported if caught they are out on bail and dissappear

Sneak back every year, heh, that’s new to me. It must be easier to get across then I thought. I agree they should not be let off the hook, if they say. They knew they were breaking the law when they came here and something bad could happen. However if new laws do become much harsher I wouldn’t mind giving them a chance to leave on their own before they went into use. I doubt that it would work but at least we could say hey they had the chance to leave that way they can’t complain about the punishment they receive.

Then we should be doing something to try to make the living standard better in Mexico if we don't want them here. People want to take advantage of the opportunities of the "land of the free," but can't afford/obtain the correct way to become a citizen. If you did try to send all the illegal immigrants back, you would have a surplus of the low-paying jobs that Caucasian, legal Americans won't take because they pay too little. Unless the minimum wage goes up a lot more (I've heard it's going up to like $6.75 or something? Maybe it's just Michigan...) people won't take those jobs because the wage hikes don't match the inflation hikes. I see immigrants as a necessary evil; I feel bad that they have to take crappy jobs in order to send money back home to support their families and I don't think it's fair that they can benefit off our tax-payed system, but there's no easy answer to this. Recently, Time magazine did a really long article on illegal immigrants.
The point is Mexico is not my country why should it be my job to make it better? People are sick of Americans interfering in other countries so this is another reason to not do it. If we really want to start helping other people out maybe we should start shipping them condoms.
I would love to see what would happen if all these crappy jobs opened up. I don’t think it would be near as bad as everyone thinks it would be. Just the rich wouldn’t be getting richer off of cheap labor.
Higher minimum wage will be good for the employees that work legally and benefit from it. It will be bad in that it will make other employers look to other resources for cheaper labor. Head to the west side of Michigan and look for a high school student that would love a summer job that requires no experience, let’s say picking fruit. I wonder what the consequences for this kid would be. Also you know that 100% of that money is going right back to the community/economy because that student is most likely supported by his parents. Even an unemployed American will take a crappy job to get him some cash until he can find a better one. If we helped reform unemployment and welfare it would also help reduce this so called need for immigrant labor but that is another topic.
That’s so nice of them to send the money they make in America out of America.
The easy answer is to make real consequences for their actions.

What are people’s thoughts on this? This seems like a big deal in the media lately yet no one has commented on it recently. I can see good and bad to all this stuff going around. I think I am leaning towards some of the new changes. I am not sure I agree totally with kicking them all out but making them pay taxes would be a great start. Many of them take advantage of schools, healthcare, and other benefits without contributing anything themselves. That kind of tinklees me off. The argument you are doing a job no one else wants to do is not a valid excuse for stealing assistance from the government. Everyone knows that benefits can more then make up for a low paying job.
Many companies will hire illegal immigrants for work, pay them under the table, and write off their expense. Last time I checked that was not an appropriate way of reporting wages. The people that benefit from this are the company and the worker. The rest of America suffers from these actions. I can’t wait until these people start filing for social security.
You see all these people interviewed in the news about how they came here illegally years ago and they are tinkled others can’t do it. Just because you did it dose not make it right. Other countries don’t like illegal immigrants either so why should America be so accepting?
Illegal immigrants aren’t stealing jobs that Americans won’t do; they are stealing jobs Americans won’t do for under minimum wage or a company wont pay minimum wage for. An American will clean a toilet but since we have to pay taxes on it we won’t do it for a fraction of the pay. I fail to see how this stimulates the economy. You still pay the same for goods or services; it is not the end user that benefits it is the management that is making more money from cheap labor.
We need to stop giving out green cards to illegal immigrants. If we continue this and start this work plan that lets people know it is okay for illegal immigrants to come to America to work, illegal immigration will be worse then it is now. Two of the main things that attract illegal immigrants are jobs and family connections. We start cutting those off and they will stop coming.
I am sick of most of these people protesting. Well just the illegal ones. You don’t go to ones home and tell them what do. America is my home you shouldn’t tell me that I have to accept you. You don’t have the right to vote here and don’t pay taxes so why should I care what you think about living here. If you want to protest don’t hold a Mexican flag, if Mexico is so great…go back. Guess what, legal immigrants in Mexico still can’t vote on important stuff like presidential elections in Mexico. It seems absurd for you to think that you should have the right to vote in my country while you are an illegal alien. Yes your country sucks but just because it does why should I let you live in mine?
