  1. anyone else notice this? This is why using smgs is better than long range rifles with red sights and acogs...

     

    When your gun is swaying (they fixed this with snipers) the bullets actually go to the middle of your screen...and NOT where the iron sight is pointing....its really glitchy :(

    anyway, we won 17-7, so right now we are in the 4th round of the TGL tournament (4 more to go I think!), and are 2-0 in cal-main (theres no cal-invite yet).

  5. I am jealous of your stunning beard. I could grown the beard part, but for some reason my mustache does not grow any more than a 12 year old Hispanic boys mustache...

    use rancor instead of resize

    your deck seems to have two purposes, getting land out, then destroying it all...seems rather silly if all your damage is based on terravores...I actually have a deck on my desk that is similar to yours...but red green

     

    4x sprouting vines (land search)

    4x krosan tusker (killer 6/5, or land + cycling)

    4x lay of the land (cheap land search)

    4x terravore (the main damage dealing creature)

    4x groundskeeper (land recycling)

    4x yavimaya elders (purely for land search + draw)

    4x llanowar elves (land)

    4x harvest wurm (2 mana for a 3/2 + land recycling)

    4x seismic assaults (the main point of my deck...i discard a land and deal 2 damage to whatever I want with it, then I have multiple ways to get it back and rediscard)

     

    This deck is fun for casual play between buddies, but itll always get beaten by anything good :P...anyway...i feel that using land to do direct damage is a lot better than just getting rid of it. Armageddon seems more of a card suited for decks mostly based on 1-2 card costs, or which use alternative methods of mana generation.

  7. I feel that hardcore makes all the guns very similiar though.

     

     

    Never thought of it that way... but yeah, I see your point. The only real difference is range and accuracy on hardcore.

    recoil too...the silenced skorpion has no recoil, and the mp5 is snipable with 2-3 hit kills...

    I'm curious, but not sure if I'd get into it hardcore-like.

     

    its the PAM mod

     

    p90 was nerfed, no grenade launchers, the only perks are bandolier, stopping power, sleight of hand, deep impact, iron lungs

    you only get 1 flash/smoke and 1 nade...no stuns

    you get to choose whatever gun you want as you spawn, levels dont matter.

    I would really like to know who specifically to write to about this, because changing G.I. Joe to some international goon is--well, disrespectful to a guy who really was a true American Hero.

     

    I don't understand it; if they are so concerned with international feelings, why not simply make different members of the team from different countries? I mean, come on--it's not that hard. Also, why make the bad guy Scottish? The head of Cobra really never had a nationality...why not leave it that way?

     

    I gotta say, I'm not usually the guy to stand up and scream at everyone who will listen that the US is the best place on Earth and we can do no wrong--because I don't believe that. Everyone makes mistakes--and even though I love my country, I know we're not without our vices. In any case, this is kinda like peeing on a dead war-hero's grave. It's just not right.

    That's not true. I'm a great sniper... and I don't mind saying it either. I've already been banned from a server because they thought I was hacking (the ultimate compliment). I was on 2fort and I killed everything that tried to go up top. They only way I died was if a spy made it to me.

     

    Anyway, the point is, as a sniper I can take out all the meds and a good number of the sentries. If my team can't win with me taking out half of the problems, then the issue isn't the fact that there is a sniper on the team.

     

    They nerfed 2fort for snipers, it used to not have a roof and the bridge was longer (in TFC). Anyway, the point is, if I'm pubbing sure sniping seems great when people are idiots...try scrimming with a sniper and tell me how useful they are when people just run past you.

    A) you have to charge your shots to kill anything except for other snipers, and scouts

    B) anyone playing a heavy instead of a soldier needs to get their head checked

    C) any medics that get sniped don't know how to play medic

    D) this is the biggie, snipers can only kill 1 thing at a time. In a game focused on respawn times, instead of pure damage, playing a glass cannon that can only kill one thing at a time carries a lot less value than any other class, except for maybe the spy. When you die you lose what little killing potential you had, and give the other team 20 seconds of free reign over whatever you were watching.

     

    Again, none of this really matters in pubbing, if you want to pub sniper feel free, kids in pubs are retards, scrim with it once and tell me how you do.

     

    Also, getting banned for hacking is a joke with the sniper...do it as a soldier and I'll be impressed :P.

     

    I suck at sniping in CS, but am quite good in tf2. Twilight Zone?

     

    CS:S accuracy matters, you have to plant your feet then shoot otherwise your shot goes awry. In TF2 you maintain accuracy in motion, in the air, however you want. Noscoping is also a joke in TF2. Thats why anyone good with an awp is good with a sniper by default, sniping is a joke.

  13. tell ya what though, i aint a fan of search and destroy

     

    Ya that game type will kill a server. If you like the whole bomb thing play sabotage instead. The bomb actually changes hands when you get killed. I was in a server once where the bomb got planted like 3 times but never went off. It just kept changing teams, that was actually pretty cool. Headquarters if fun too. I think the best modes are HQ, TDM, and SAB.

     

    I'm waiting to see what kind of competition play has come out of this game. We'll have to do some diggin and see what they are playing team wise.

     

    competition is s&d with restrictions on perks and guns. Think the competitive mod used for bf2 only in cod4. Currently the DAMN mod is in use with others being made. The damn mod lets leagues restrict certain perks and guns as they feel necessarily. Real quick cevo is looking at this :

     

    S&D

    2min rounds

    1min bomb time

    5sec plant time

    10sec defuse time

     

    The class restrictions are now as follows:

     

    1 Sniper

    1 Shotgun (possibly looking at upping the damage on the regular shotgun.)

     

    After some careful consideration we've came up with an initial idea on how the perks are going to work for the tournament.

     

    The perks allowed will be :

     

    Perk 1:

     

    TBA

     

    Perk 2:

     

    Sleight of hand

    Stopping power

     

    Perk 3:

     

    Steady aim

    Deep impact

    Iron Lungs

     

    NOTE: Perk 1 and Bandolier. We are currently looking to see if we can limit the amount of ammo given with Bandolier before we make a final decision on this perk. As of now we are not including extreme conditioning either. If it is found later that we can restrict it to only one person, we may consider allowing it.

     

    Miscellaneous Restrictions:

     

    There are a few additional things that competitors should know about. such as no air strikes, no UAV, no choppers. They are:

     

    - No air strikes, UAV, or choppers.

    - No grenade launchers.

    - The p90 will be limited. (either in amount of damage it takes to kill, or amount of ammo given.)

    - Auto shotguns and Auto snipers are ALLOWED.

    - Auto snipers however will not have the strength of the bolt-action.

    - We will also be limiting hit blips on grenades,stuns, and flashbangs tossed over walls (But leaving in hit blips on spraying through walls).

    - Multibomb will be on.

    - We will be upping the damage given on the regular shotgun.

    this, also S&D only really appeals to competitive players, I tend to find the kind of people who enjoy pubbing this style would rather play cs...use sabotage instead, headquarters and domination are also fun.
