  1. The leet speak was my second choice...

and if we go with Fellowship of the Ping, which was "so last year," why should we hold back? The "frag them in the darkness" was pretty punny.

  2. I hope you're ready to be mentally screwed with. Inmates will do anything for an extra piece of fruit so they can ferment it in their cells.

Don't let em get you down.

  3. I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but under the "details" portion of www.fragfestohio.com, it doesn't mention that the event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Hudson, Ohio. It DOES say to check the forums if you need a room mate...

Maybe we could arrange to have that added as well as a mapquest link to the hotel webpage and/or the hotel address at mapquest.

  4. you can disregard. it seems to be working now... I just had to let the server reload it. It took a little while, but worked. Thanks. :boing:

  5. For some reason every time I upload a new avatar, it just changes the dimensions of my old one and shows my old one stretched out. It's within the 20kb limit and it's a .gif.

    Whats the dealie yo?

  6. It seems this issue is charged by something other than educating people- both sides, whether for or against a creation teaching, speaks from an emotionally charged voice. I am no different, but I will be as objective as possible:

When we as a community <not a national govt> choose what belongs in our school's curriculem, we are deciding what we wish our children to believe. We want them to know that 2+2 = 4 because it's what we all believe. We want them to know that the earth is round, because it is what we believe. When you come to the issue of the origin of the universe, however, there are differing beliefs in a community.

How should we solve this question of what to teach our children? Should we leave the origin of the universe out completely? Would children be at a loss to have no opinion given to them by teachers?

Should we teach only one or two theories of how the world began, and risk leaving out the possibility that there are other ideas?

Should we teach them each mainstream theory and let them <with specific questions answered by their caring parents> decide what seems most right to them?

In any case, a parent wants their child to believe the same ideas he or she believes. Some communities vary greatly in what the parents believe, and some vary little. Each township must come to that decision by their own debates, and arguing on a message board about the rightness of one theory over another, while entertaining, doesn't prove one over another.

    So which is right?

Some things just can't be explained, and I believe there's a reason for that.
