For the second time mate, patience. Running this server isn't the only thing people do here, there's also been an issue with the new update too. >.>

Well this was 2 some weeks ago and i believe Jackie fixed it the same day

Haven't we all wanted to be admins at one point or another? Admin = almost president

I figured it out! But the I went ahead and managed to delete all walkable space and autosave. Now the map crashes the game when starting it. That's a waste of 24 hours of work. Yay me!

I used to do map design i did a wicked 300 map looks great but never got around to finishing it so cant help you with your questions except there are 1 or 2 left4dead2 hammer tuts around

 

question..do ya know how to take a screenshot of the map while running it as every time i try it takes a picture of the hammer engine in the desktop backround, i remember i got it working before but now its a mystery

Can't say I've had that problem. The one time I took a screenshot I did it to pick up a good fog color, and that worked just fine. Maybe I should search out of development to find hammer tutorials then :/

So, I'm starting to really get into the fun of designing new maps for L4D2, but I'm coming searching for help. I'm using the following guide to create a map with Hammer using models from Google Sketchup.

But here's my problem you see. This guide is made for L4D1, which is no different in any way except one, and that is the commands of triggering panic events and survival finales. I'm currently testing a survival map to go onto a larger project later, but i cant get the map to:

A: Recognize the game mode as survival.

B: Actually start the survival.

The logic_auto and the info_director entities have some different command and i cannot for my life find it on the valve developer forums.

If any of you know anything about this, I'd love you if you respond!

I'm going to change my name to Aimbot so that every you time you say that, you'd just be calling my name...muahaha...HAHAHHAHA!!!

 

And I also don't get stress because I have a second monitor and I can alt-tab anytime with tissue box next to me and my hand is all warm and pump clickty and yeah lets not go there!

So it's safe to say that the best solution so far is to get a second monitor. I already have one so I'm all set!

I often get pounced or killed because im horrible at this game and should probably uninstall it.

I guess It's only me then who really didn't enjoy Dead Island at all. Honestly I really dislike the mechanics and the how you need to play.

In short terms, I like quantity of zombies and massacre in zombie-games over quality in the zombie.

people torment me on the server when I am hungry. it should be a kickable offense to talk about food when I am starving
