  1. As I've said before, I always join the "hard" team at the start of any new map that favors a specific team. I also routinely see this out of Alba, Brew, Brillow, and LCD. I don't auto join or choose the easy team because I feel, at times, that I can help the "hard" team be successful. It's a choice and no one is required to do it. I enjoy the challenge of it, though I must admit it bothers me when maps are 6-0 against the "hard" team and the other team continues to carry a 12-10 advantage with 3 GC in the top 5 scores.

Thanks to those who try to even things out.

  2. I just join the "hard team" every map. It's just more fun to have the challenge and I could care less about my stats.

There's a thin line between autojoin and just picking a team. Especially for some of the better players on maps such as Italy where there is typically a distinct advantage for T's on the scopeless server. A map where the CT's truly need to be stacked to an extent to win.

I must agree though, why play if you can't play either side if you want? Then again, why play if you can never win because the teams stack towards the easy side?

This has been brought up so many times. There is no solution because this is a public server in which the admins do not, and are not expected to, swap players. The answer is to just not play at times when the teams are stacked, you're frustrated, and it seems no one really cares to fix it - or - deal with it and enjoy the challenge.

  3. Shrop - what actually happened last night was that the teams were stacked in favor of CT to the point of 7-0. Why was it stacked from the beginning? Who knows, that was the first time I have ever had the chance to play CT on that map and I auto'd to it (this is part of the reason I disagree with "good" players having to always take "the hard team" - why should they never get a chance to play both sides and switch if it's stacked) (ps. brillow - ct is the easy side on cobble on scopless) Anyway, back to the story: About half of us tried to switch to the other team and as a result it was 13-10 T advantage. The result was 10 straight wins for T to end the map 10-7 T (reverse stacking in my book!).

Which makes me ask, why the heck are we still talking about this? GC and handful of regulars routinely switch to balance things out, sometimes to the point of over-balance as we saw last night on lost temple. No one should always have to pick the "hard side", we're here to have fun. Pick whatever you want for all I care, just switch it up if it's out of control.

This thread and all of the bashing and whining that have gone with it should just end.

Now let's move on to the topic of reverse stacking and why we all hate it!

  4. I'm with you on the suggestion fatty. When I started playing CS again, I stuck with the team I was most comfortable from my past experience with CS. However, after playing with ZD for awhile and noticing him switching to the losing team as well as getting a bit better, I found this made the experience more fun for everyone. I must admit though I still try to be on the same team as alba because it makes it too personal having to kill my best man.

  5. Yes, I was there. Yes, this guy should never play on our servers again. I actually logged off and posted on our private boards with his steam ID for a ban and our admins showed up several minutes later. Unfortunately neither Alba nor myeslf is an admin so we couldn't do it immediately.

I like that everyone is keeping a watchful eye to keep this server a great place to play. Thanks Clue.
