    deathmatch bugs

    any normal map such as compound will change after a few minutes.  the 50 kills does not trigger the map change, something else does.  all the coustom maps will go to 50 kills.

     

    I've played on a few other Deathmacth servers and they are experiencing the same problem. It seems to happen right after a map successfully completes a 50 frag match.

    Ex: I finished a successful match on Italy (someone reached 50 frags), it then switched to what looked like a version of Icyworld, and when two people reached 10 frags it showed that the Terrorists had 50 wins, and switched the map.

     

    It goes every other map (one successful then one really short, etc...). Don't feel alone on this it looks like alot of other servers have the same problem.

    Sounds like yall were banned by association...a method which has usefull purposes.

     

    One, it brings the wrath of clan members down on the offending party for getting them kicked/banned and reinforces the policy in spades.

     

    Two, we've seen fellow clanmates pitch a fit when on of their peers gets booted and it saves the server from the possibility of a multi-person cuss-fest.

     

    Give the admin time to respond and I'm sure your ban will be lifted, but each member should come in and state the same...and the offender will probably remain banned.

     

     

    I totally understand why we all got banned via association, it took care of the problem and any chance of any clan members copping an attitude about it later in the server.

     

    Since I wasn't the offender, and I have always abided by the rules GC enforces, hopefully I can join the good times being had by everyone else.

    Since there might a conflict of story here I’ll explain exactly what happened as my memory serves….

     

    3 clan members and myself all hopped on the 100tic server (which btw had a great ping!) There was another player on the server (I don’t remember his name) that decided to put our clan tag on (he was not a member), we asked him to remove it. He refused to remove it and one of our clan members tked him (probably not the best solution, I know). He then removed our clan tag.

    Afterwards, one of the clan members did not know the GC rules and typed out an explicative geared towards this player (I can pm the word if necessary) and was appropriately warned 3 times. The guilty clan member didn’t pay much attention even though I tried telling him to “cool it�. Then the 3 other clan members and myself were banned.

    promising that I would get the guilty clan member to come apologize in the forums. I have not seen that clan member for 2 weeks now, and as far as I know he has since been removed from the clan for this reason and I don’t think he knows it yet. Needless to say that is why I haven’t been able to get him in the forums for the apology.

     

    I know the other day, the bans were consolidated for all the Midwest servers, and having been banned on the 100tic server I’m no longer able to play on any GC servers.

    I don’t remember who the admin was that banned us, and if they have anything to help fill any gaps in the story please don’t hesitate to speak up, my memory has probably faded a bit since the incident.

     

    Personally, I REALLY enjoy playing on the GC servers, its how online gaming should be everywhere. If there is anything else I can do please let me know.

    Might want to keep an eye on this guy.  Didn't seem to like our rules about swearing even after he was told about 3 times.  About 3am so I didn't expect an admin to be there.  [GoCI]TehKru.gc was in at the time with me and Shadow and we all 3 told him about it.  JUst thought I'd give a heads up for the next time :D

     

    I highly doubt that who you're thinking of was me. I'm never even awake @ 3am because I have to be at work by 8 am. I've always abided by the GC rules. I hate to play at other servers, you guys have spoiled me.

    Well I have been gone like 4 or 5 days and I come back and I am banned on the Midwest FF server.

    I don't have any information to give as to why I think I was banned.

     

    The last time I played on the Midwest server was this past Sunday I believe.

    I haven't a clue as to why I was banned. Can any of the admins clue me in?

    I just saw that the bans were compiled together from all the servers. I think that is probably why I was banned. You might be able to reference the original thread in which I was banned on the 100tic server.

    Aight...again, going by the book, send in the guy who caused the bannings and we'll get this overwith.

     

    We've never allowed for someone to get someone else unbanned.  We want to hear from the reformed.

     

    We promise not to eat him like the last guy...who just climbs into a giant cauldron of boiling water anyways? Didn't even have the carrots in yet...jeez

    I thought you said you weren't the guilty party?

     

    I wasn't the guilty party, but I was banned by association.

     

    Well, I was kicked when the rest of got kicked and they said they got banned in addition, I'm just assuming I got hit with the ban stick as well.

    Ahhh, leapt.

     

    Yep, I saw some of this language from HLSW...what I saw was right on the edge, but still unaccepable.  Obviously it got worse when I left.

     

    Clans are banned by association most of the time.

     

    That said, we LOVE when teams play here.  If you guys are willing to accept our policies (to you they may seem extreme, yet they remain our policies nonetheless) then we can give it another go.

     

     

    Just finished talking to my clanmates. We figured out what foul language was used and who was using it.

     

    The team member that was using the foul language was unaware of the numerous policies you have on your server. I have since directed him to the rules you have in place. We would like to give things another try, but ultimately this decision is up to you guys.

    Hmm...when I left the console, Fear seemed to be okay...a couple close ones on language...dunno.

     

    I was unware of anyone using foul language, I apologize for that. I'll ask my clanmantes to see who the culpirts were.

     

    Do you think we could get an individual unbans depending on the player?

    I was playing on dust on the new 1.6 server with a bunch of my clanmates and some random player decided to put our tag on. We asked him nicely to take it off twice and he ignored us. One of the clanmates tked him and asked him again. The guy refused to change it and then started randomly shooting the other clanmates including myself.

     

    I'm not sure who the admin was at the time. I did not tk anyone, I was not complaining in "all chat". None of us broke the rules and all of the players in my clan [FeaR] were banned.

     

    I've been playing on all the GC servers for some time now and I pretty much refuse to play anywhere else. You guys run a great server, and keep everything fun.

    You can change the direct X level by right clicking Counter Strike Source in steam. Going to properties, click launch options and type in: -dxlevel 70      for dirext X 7, or: -dxlevel 81    for direct X 8.1.

     

    Can this be done on the fly? Like through the console? I know that you can change the regular video settings on the fly.
