  1. Well yes, I do. And I said so :/

Sheer probability has to have some other thing similiar to our concept of life somewhere in the universe
  2. Well, anyways. The prerequisites for primitive "earth" life are relatively few.

    -Carbon

    -Oxygen

    -Hydrogen

    -Phosphorus

    -Nitrogen

    -Very high energy

There's your life shopping list. From those 6 factors, Oparin showed us how primitive biological molecules can be synthesized naturally. The oxygen doesn't even need to be elemental oxygen. Applying energy to NH3, CO2, H2O (g), and CH4 (g) yields small nucleic and amino acids. Nucleic acids can self-replicate, and now the the predecessor molecules of primitive peptidoglycan cell walls are now available.

  3. 1) test to see if forum is open

    2) How do you define intelligent life biologically? It's a fun word to throw around, but in context of life existing or not it's irrelevant. Descent with modification is suffient to do the work if the organisms are cell-based. Also, this is a strange thought, but what if other life doesn't use nucleic acids as the genetic material? Although I can't think of anything offhand, theoretically there could be plenty of other genetic materials, if you thoroughly understand *how* those inert pieces of DNA work.

  4. What you backed into was the product of gymnosperm secondary (woody) growth. When your car ruptured the fragile secondary phloem, you interupted the plants sucrose transport, thus debilitating the roots. The car had sufficient momentum to unfortunately break the plants secondary xylem as well, this permanently disrupting the passive, uniterrupted water column. Had the tree not been uprooted, it would have died slowly from malnutrition.

    Translation:

    MURDERER.

  5. To call it a "choice" isn't accurate. There is some matter of inclination, choice implies abruptness. Like some woman looks at a super model and says "Holy geez! I'm a lesbian!" I'm sure that's happened, but that's clearly not the norm. I'm 100% for everything homosexual; trying to deny them any legal freedom, even respect, is selfish and reactionary.

  6. Sheer probability has to have some other thing similiar to our concept of life somewhere in the universe, which as Hitchhiker's so aptly put, is "Really, Really big." Somewhere, there's some carbon-based cellular-organized planet that can harvest energy between molecules of covalent bonds (metabolism is *the* indicator for life). So UFOs = lame. Aliens = 1337.

  7. I don't want the windo to be passable, and my scroll textures aren't rendering transparent for some reason. It's fine though, this map isn't devoted to realism. I added 1 little ledge near the bottom waterfall just so it's easier to jump on it from the ladders.

    -Edit

And do discourage camping those stairs, the buyzone is out in the courtyard. Nades :P

  8. The original map had a buyzone, but I accidently switched the map paramaters to no one can buy. That's fixed hopefully. I was trying to give useful guns too, but now anyone should be able to buy the weird ones if they want to :P

  9. You can't make the cube blow up, not if you want it to rotate too :(. I felt the need to put out some map since as_nirvana is taking so darn long, and Homer's pic was too tempting.

  10. fy_fatty 1.1 is gonna come out soon, changes include:

-Changes to some crate locations to balance for awp

    -Waterfall sound effects where appropriate

-Throne will now explode after bombing target

-Top area will have a window to the ground level, and be accessible likewise

    -Fix a few details

Glad ya'll enjoy, I was laughing while I was making it :D
