Well your in WoA now, and I suppose your CS life hasnt changed much?

Clans are basicly a group of players who get on well, and play well as a team. More organised clans will enter leagues and battle other clans, which is what im hoping WoA will soon be doing.

The most enjoyable thing about being in a clan during the matches is probably the aspect of team work. A group of players co-operating and communicating with each other very well will often improve the teams chances of winning, and will bring in new aspects of the game that you will hardly ever experience on normal public servers.

On a whole, clanning is fun, as long as the clan your in is going somewhere and doing things.

Can we just end this stupid topic. A small misunderstanding has occured and its leading into a big arguement that can have fatal consquences (gang wars, drive-bys, etc).

Toe was unlawfully banned and should feel upset as i witnessed all his complaints about tks and so he moved over to the T team to stop being tk'ed. End of story, i say you close this topic

Last night an admin, I think it was fatty, tried to launch dust 3.

I think this is a brilliant idea, especially when the server is packed with the regulars. Its random, fun, and a break from the same old maps is always welcome in my opinion.

It took me a while to download half the map from the gc server, as everyone else was also trying to download the same map, and eventually we returned to office as no one was downloading the map fast enough.

Perhaps you should use the 'Downloads' bit of the gamerscoalition website to allow users to download custom maps like de_dust 3 from the website and not the gaming server, so if random maps are played everyone wont have to wait for the maps to download.

Its just a suggestion but it may tidy a few things up

You have a fair point, but still why discuss this topic and say what the outcomes will be when we can just do a small tester and view what will happen. I know that G1 wanted to do a little friendly 5v5 battle as long as it was well organised, and thats precisely what im trying to do, organise things....

In addition to what I just said i was wondering how do you get your clan to appear in the clan rankings? Enough of WoAs members appear in the normal rankings yet not in the clan rankings. Is the clan tag '[WoA]Followed by name' not being detected by the pyscostat software or do I need to register the clan with a gc member?????

I think the server policies here are outstanding, and sometimes I find it hard to believe that the majority of people disagree with these policies. The spirit amoungst members of this community is high and this is the way to keep things, as we have a great bunch of regulars playing on these servers

A league is tough to run.

 

What I'd like to do is find a commissioner of sorts who could organize weekly tournaments that people can sign up for....which continually mixes up the teams, etc, like the Open-Sight Slaughter that's happening his Wednesday.

Creating  a league is easy.  Maintaining it is the tough part.  If you do end up doing this, making it short and sweet for the first round.

I've just started recruiting for my WoA clan, and iv spoked to other small clans in the server like -[rB]-, G1, Mmmm and their members said that they'de be interested in some friendly clan battles.

Im happy to arrange matches, log the scores and publish the results, however, would it be possible to use one of the servers for the matches?

If anyone thinks this is a good idea then say so below and ill get some things organised with the help of gc members

Ok heres my general feed back after playing with bots for roughly 3 hours today:

People join the server as they see 8 players there. Then when they see a list of BOTS and one player, they leave straight away (which has already been established)

So here are a list of my suggestions that, if practical, could encourage more people to join:

- Have 8 bots whilst one player is using the server, but as soon as two humans are present in the server, remove ALL the bots. This fausly attracts people to the server, and when they are there instead of being disappointed that they only have one opponent, a little fun could be created with one on one knife fights. Eventually more people will join and things will kick off.

-Advertise the server as a 24/7 server. At the moment it is more or less only being used when for small periods of time. Putting 24/7 in part of the server name could attract more people and keep things ticking over

-Promoting the 24/7 theme:

-Find other gaming communities, similar to this in other parts of the world, for examle servers in the UK and Australlia. These servers may also be facing similar problems where there servers are packed at peak times but empty at others. If this server and the other server could hook up and promote each others IP addresses, then maybe people will join each others servers when their normal server is busy, but due to the time differences the other server will not be busy.

-We need to find a wider range of users. Most people using the server are from america. Encouraging people from other countries to stay and bring their friends along will allow these people to play during their suitable time and if they stay for long enough it will keep the server ticking other till the american dudes arrive

Sorry if this post is hard to keep up with as its a bit complicated but hopefully my suggestions will help, and il try and promote this server to foriegn users

Ok, i was playing with the bots today and it seemed reasonably successful as there were a couple of people joining.

I was wondering what difficulty level are they on because one guy was accussing a bot of hacking, lol he was being serious as well!

I have one further suggestion though, could you disable all the bots weapons so they only have knives because i need to improve my rankings...

yeah this is a good idea, but i think 10 bots is too many, maybe about 6, just to give the server a kick start. Once a few people join, both servers usually fill up within 10mins, well thats what iv noticed anyway

On the contrary, I consider it an honor that you would sacrifice your ping to play on our servers.  What times do you generally play?

hey sorry about my late reply, been a bit tied up lately

i generally play from 4-10 GMT time or between 10am-10pm GMT on weekends

to convert that to EST i think you deduct 5 hours from GMT time, so anything around that time zone would be excellent

i know theres a few other people from the UK playing on the servers too.

its worth adding about 100 latency to my normal ping to play amoungst members of one of the greatest cs communities around

hey dudes, today (the 8th febuary) roughly 1ish EST time there were a few team kills going on. Acid flux went to send for mag to do a few bans on the team killers (and rightly so)

everyone was saying ban the tklers, then as a joke i said ban cold killer as hes my brother. although i didnt realise the admin was there at the time. my bro got banned with the rest of the guys, lol

Id like to be in but as im from London and my time is five hours ahead it makes it difficult to play.

Im wondering wether or not it is possible to hold future team events similar to this at more accessible times for people not local to the USA, possibly on weekends at an earlier times so both people from the UK and USA can play.

Don't take this as a complaint just as a suggestion because i'd like to be all in with the fun

Normal if you want a clan me and you could hook up and get something organised, get a few more people involved to etc then enter this league
