    Win7 RC -reinstall retail release?

    For those running Win7 RC, are you going to format and install the retail release or continue running RC?

     

    I preordered but so far I have no intentions of installing the retail release for some time, maybe not till I get a new CPU in a few months. Any downside in doing so?

     

    Also, I am dual booting XP with Win7. Is validating my copy of XP going to kill it? I'm getting the upgrade and I was thinking you have to verify your XP install through the net and not the CD like in the past.

    Karate anime series off Netflix

    I've watched a couple karate action/comedy animes off of netflix. Both were really enjoyable.

    Samurai Champloo

    Kenichi: The Mightiest Desciple

     

    Samurai Chamnploo is based in feudal Japan while Kenichi is present day. Champloo is a little more dark while Kenichi is more on the comedic side.

     

    EDIT: We just noticed while finishing the last disk just now, that the series IS NOT COMPLETE ON NETFLIX. Man I hate that. Go watch Samurai Champloo, it's good. Just look past the beat boxing ronin :D

    Fallout 3 GOTY edition to include all 5 DLC

    Just a heads up, the GOTY edition was released today. Went and picked up mine. I started a new game a couple of weeks ago on hard, I'm lvl 19 working on the main quest going through Little Lamplight.

     

    One thing I noticed about playing on hard is you level up faster then before. I really don't like that, cause once I hit the level cap I don't feel like playing any more. :shrug03:

     

    I haven't played any DLC yet and I still think this is the best game ever, IMHO. I never replay games, but I'm on my third round with Fallout3, I can see myself playing it again soon too. Totally evil, poking people in the eyes Shemp style.

     

    OK I replayed Oblivion, there.

    Hi-Res Texture Pack

    For example, Fellout makes the daytime GREAT, but completely blacks out the nights (even the wimpy 'brighter' version) and turns of the pipboys light to compensate. It was awful. Or some mods jsut make things a little off-color-pallete, that kind of thing.

    I tried Fellout the other day and didn't care for the daytime. The water is just too blue, even if it's only a foot deep. Nighttime is more realistic and scary as you can't see much at 1am in the morning (which normally you shouldn't), a Yao guais will be on top of you before you know it and make ya jump out of your seat. Due to the daytime effects, I uninstalled.

     

    Bethesda made nighttime so bright, just to make the game more playable. But really, it's like there are always 2 full moons out or something.

    Anyone else get this special item from her? I'm not going to spoil much, but the first 2 games I played I never even found this old broad. I just happen to run into her this 3rd go around and did her quest, then went back there for some odd reason and she gave me another quest witch resulted in said item. Sweet, I'm like 007 now.

     

    Cool I just found Dogmeat, never did find him the first 2 games I played.

    Wife: "Hey, are you coming to dinner?"

    Laz: "Sure thing babe, just wanna get this one modification I was looking for..."

    Wife: "MmmmHmm"

     

    7 hours later:

    Wife: "Erm...Gnight"

    Mine would be the same thing, except when she says "gnight" to me, I'd be on the ground twitching and there'd be a fork in my eye socket. :mellow:

    I don't know about laz.e.ruz, but in my case being married 14+ years has its advantages for me. :wiggle2:
