  1. Good book in a english/60's sort of way. About a libel court case between a Polish doctor and an author who wrote about the holocaust. Pretty dark in subject matter but very well written. Worth reading.

  2. I would wait until there were a lot of people in there... then go in and jump up and down. See how many people freak out.

  3. You work in the music industry or how do you get all the hookups for the backstage/meets?

Oh and boo to Tool skipping minneapolis.

  4. It kinda reminded me of a Civil War play on the Odyssey with all the side stories and characters for Inman, trying to get home from war to his woman.

  5. Tool is coming to MPLS this August, saw them twice last tour. I am pumped to see them again but wish they would get in the studio and make a new album (or have Maynard get with perfect circle and put one out with them).

  6. Never saw the movie but just finished the book, I have to say a very excellent read, if a bit on the dramatic side. Highly recommend.

  7. You going to the show tomorrow night SJ?

If it is anything like last year it will be a blast. One of the best live band I have ever seen (and yes I have seen a whole crapload of music).

They are in Minneapolis tomorrow night, if they come to your town Id highly reccomend em.

  8. So you have read them in French... have you read them in English? So many times the translations of books that are great in their original language do not seem to have the same feel when translated.

  9. Right now I am reading a book called "Guns, Germs, and Steel" by Jared Diamond. It is about how plant, animal, and environment shaped civilization progress from about 13000 BC to current, essentially why certain civilizations ended up on top and how some ended up on bottom. It is interesting, but pretty academic if that doesn't float any boats

A bit ago I read a book about the history of the English language, all the way for indo-european to modern English... it was neat how the spread of language really parallels the spread of food production, animal husbandry, and whatnot... there were a lot of tie ins between this book and the language one. I found it interesting.

I have not read any thing by Albert Camus, nor heard anything.

I have not really tried any of the digital book readers, mostly because I feel like I wouldn't like them. Though I am pretty sure if I got used to them I would enjoy it. I read one book at a time, books are already pretty portable, and I like my 3 bookcases of real books. The kindle seems to get pretty good reveiws.

  10. I think you will enjoy it, I wish there was more useful stuff to better use the quick decision making... but very interesting.
