  1. Was in the neighborhood and just wanted to say "Hello."

    Hello.

I hope everyone is doing well as can be expected. Things are good here. We've been in our house for just over a year and my brother has gotten me playing more and more WoW. If anyone plays on Korgath give me a shout. Tolastarf is my main there. My son is now 8 and a straight A student, but continues to get in trouble. I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad but he's working on it. Amanda, Mustard'sCoffeeMaker, and I are both working for HOOTERS now. She's bar tending and I'm managing, sorry no orange shorts for me(well not in public). Other than that if you have any extra rain please send some to GA. Here are some pics from ajc.com, the local newspaper. Until next time take care of yourselves.

  2. Baelgun/Mustard I got a 41 Orc Shamman on Korgath, but not interested in moving just yet. My brother plays on Korgath, but if he were to quit I might move. Oh and Dwarf warrior

  3. :bang: I hate to have to do this and especially this late after looking forward to going all year long, but alas I am unable to make it to FF this year. :boo: If anyone needs the seat they are welcome to it. First come first gets it. See you all next year!!! :freak:

  5. First fragfest trip:

Started from Tampa, FL. Uneventful trip to Atl, GA where I dropped off the wife and kids to spend the weekend there while I went to FF. First day on the road from Atl was probably the worst road trip of my life. I started out at 4am. The idea being I would get to FF around sunset. Somewhere around KY I have a blowout and discover that my spare has started to dry rot. Not too happy about that I start limping my way up the interstate stopping at every exit inquiring about a place to get my tires changed. I finally find someone who informs me of a sams club up the road a little ways. Well a little ways turned into about 1 hour. So I get to sams and they replace the tire, 1.5hrs later. Back on the road I'm a little frustrated, but very glad to have been able to get that taken care of and on my way again. I ended up getting lost for a little while trying to get back to the interstate, but other than that the trip went well. I was able to stop part way there where I was able to have dinner with greybeard and Apollo from DOH. (Thanks again to grey for picking up the tab.) I finally arive at FF nearer to 10pm. Needless to say if you do the math it was an 18 hour drive, but I had enough fun to make the trip again and even bring my wife.

The last fragfest was a pretty uneventful trip, but the drive up was incredible. I'm living in Atl now, so I didn't have an 8hr trip the day before, but I did end up working until 1am or later. I get home, we pack, do some other stuff and hit the road. Basically we are both so tired all we can muster is about 2hr shifts behind the wheel and then switching for the 14hr trip up. It was difficult, but we both had a blast and of course will be back again this year.

SO......I wouldn't be too concerned about jetlag.

  6. The first year I went I drove up from St. Petersburg, FL. I drove up to Atl, GA and dropped the wife and kid with my parents and spent the first year at FF alone. The second year my wife asked to come and I thought why not? So she joined me and had a blast. Although we camped out that time and it was VERY VERY cold. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Fattty for loaning us some blankets and we spent the second night in relative comfort. Now though the event is in a hotel, so the weather isn't much of a worry and the people are the friendliest around. Sure there's alot of trash talk, but it's all in good fun. As for the parents, you could always invite them to come along. Computers may not be their thing but there are plenty of other things going on. Also there are alot of people going from all over the country. If you decide to drive we have a few married couples that head up there from Athens, www.vi4life.com, and Atlanta, my wife and I. I'm sure there is someone that you could either carpool with or follow up the event from wherever you hail from. Hope it helps and good luck. Hope to see/meet you there. :wavey:

  7. Ha ha ha I was a little tired one morning and late getting my son to elementary school so I had to take him into the office to fill out the l8t student stuff. While I was there I kept gettin some strange looks from the parents passing by and the office staff. I though maybe I was just being paranoid for some reason until I got in the car and looked in the rearview and I realized that I'd grabbed my BigAssFans hat instead of my Atlanta Braves hat on the way out of the door. :dork:

  8. I'm taking a weeks vacation around fragfest this year. This means I'll be off by 4pm on Tuesday, drive up on Wednesday, be there all day thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday. Drive back on Monday. Rest ALOT on Tuesday, and back to work on Wednesday. Woot.
