    Yeah I live in Florida... Wilma is coming to my city(until futher notice... hoping for maybe it'd veer off somewhere else). Right now I'm looking for liquer. :halo: LoL! I either want to be sleeping or smashed when she hits Monday early afternoon. I slept through every hurricane so that's gets boring. Can't leave the house really... there's a curfew and the bridges has been shut down. I don't want to ask my parents to booze me up. :unsure: I got half a bottle of plum wine in my house... that's not going to cut it.

    Just got off the phone with ASUS and they are replaceing my Geforce 6800 with the 7800 and I didn't have to bend any fingers. I have to call them back though and see if they can reburst me for shipping costs and to make sure they send me the whole kit for the GT7800 and not just the card.

    Ebil, if you ask for a manager and speak to someone higher up and tell them they screwed up and you will not pay for shipping again, they will typically work with you.  Otherwise, I would not buy Asus again.  I stopped dealing with Abit when I had a bunch of issues with them.

     

    Heh... I'm going to call them again tomorrow sometime and see if I can get a check for $20.44 or $11 for making me shipping a second time. What I wish to do is see if I can get them to upgrade it to the 7800... they wouldn't be losing money. Or give me my money back... so I can buy the GT7800.

     

    I don't think I can get anyone to pay for a *new* GT6800 for the price I bought it at $399.99. Yeah I was so mad when the GT7800 came out.

    I don't understand. Please explain your story.

     

    I had to sent my orginal card to ASUS for repair... I knew that they were going to replace it. My original card overheated caused by a prolly a bad chipset. Blah blah blah... I got a RMA number... shipped my little guy out. I got this new one a few weeks later. But it looks like this guys ---> :freak3:

     

    Now I have to wait another month... I can't ship until after the hurricane since I'm in Florida. This has cost me and extra $80 so far...

    1. to buy a tempt card MX4000 I got real cheap

    2. Shipping... Asus doesn't not pay for my shipping. THEY SHOULD

    Yea mine had good bandwidth. But people were also using Napster at the time and it was becoming a problem with pirated music and porn being downloaded to school computers. Even if you use your own computer the network belongs to the school. There have been a few lawsuites against schools for loose net use policies. Might have to do what we did and just pick a room put some in laptops/desktops and make your own lan games. The school did allow us to do that. :D

    At my college and pretty my any college i know of in florida... don't allow the downloading of music and stuff like that napster, kazaa, and other things are pretty much blocked and/or if you get caught they will pwn you. lol!

     

    There's a away around it... so you can play CS, but they'll know eventually and if they aren't lazy they will block it and you'd just have to find a new door.... :shrug03:

    Meh... i don't like the glitch at all it get me killed bunches. Emptying clips upon an stupid stone box, bouncing nades off boxes, and just plan walking into stuff. I dunno why on other servers my game is fine and not on GC... I'm not gonna play another server :P
